MAC Expensive Pink Eyeshadow Review, Swatch, FOTD

Since it is Diwali time, I thought I’d review an eyeshadow that goes perfect with Indian wear. It is MAC Expensive Pink Eyeshadow. I wonder why MAC named it like that. It is expensive but not pink as such.
Anyway, Expensive pink is a gorgeous peachy rose gold eyeshadow. It is a velvex pearl finish eyeshadow. If you have seen NARS O blush in person, this almost feels looks like an eyeshadow version of the same blush .. a little less warm may be. The golden sheen gives a nice satiny finish on the lids. It is nicely pigmented color, goes on lids like a dream and maintains its sheen all day long. The best thing is that a lot of pink eyeshadows can make your face look dull but this just brightens up the complexion. The duo chrome effect make it look like a golden in some lights and pinky coral in others.
If you wear a lot of suits and sarees, this is a color to look out for. Expensive pink all over the lid, black liquid liner, mascara and you’d be ready to go. It should be a must have for brides to be. This single eyeshadow can take you through all your wedding functions. You can pair expensive pink with browns, black , blue, plums, purples.
I personally like to wear it in evenings. I like the nice seamless look it gives to my lids. It feels soft and is easy to blend. I found it has a teeny meeny bit of a fall out but not annoying as such.
Swatch :
I have created this looking using a deep purple eyeshadow in the crease and expensive pink on the lids. You can add some golden shimmers on top to make the eye makeup look more festive.
I have kept my face makeup more towards pink side for this look but you can also go for peaches, corals or browns. 🙂
