I never knew glosses would become so dear to me. I think the love for glosses grew when I purchased the shade Venus from the L’Oreal Shine Caresse range. I could not imagine a gloss being so non-sticky and light weight before these. So I decided to pick this shade which I believe is a new addition to the range. So here is the review for the shade Iris from L’Oreal Shine Caresse range.

Product Description:

Dazzling shine, Fresh moisture, Lightweight lip colour. The first lip colour to fuse with your lips. Rich, refined lips yet a barely-there lip sensation. Lips feel cocooned in a fresh, dewy sensation. The modern way to play your lip colour. The unique formula comprised of 30% water and 60% oil provides an exceptionally high level of moisture, allowing for 6-hour hydration. Concentrated soluble colour pigments create a subtle wet look with a weightless feeling on lips.

My Experience with L’Oreal Shine Caresse Lip Color #806 Iris:

I have been hooked on to the shade I got previously and now when I spotted this new shade I could not resist. The packaging looks gorgeous with the smart colour coding belt. The shade name and number is mentioned on the top. There is no outer paper box unlike the other one, but that is totally fine. I throw them off to save space anyway.

As I already mentioned, the Shine Caresse range changed the way I look at glosses and this is no exception. There is no sticky feel to this and the gloss is extremely lightweight. The consistency is gel like and there is a cooling sensation on initial application which I love. There is no minty taste or feel to this however.

The colour is sheer coral-orange in tube and swatch, but comes off as an orange stain on lips. The inner part of the lower lip looks like I have had a Popsicle. There are micro silver shimmers in this which adds up to the glam of the lip colour. The wand is one of its kind and applies the gloss like smooth butter on lips. People with very pigmented lips might require a lip concealer or a lip liner below to cover the pigmentation. I quite like how sheer and glossy it applies on my lips and gives a polished look to the overall makeup.

Thankfully the shimmers do not transfer and are non gritty thus no problem in terms of texture.

A very smart and functional product from the house of L’Oreal and I would definitely recommend this particular shade to coral lovers. As for repurchasing I would wait for more shades.
