Today, I am here to share my views on a floral perfume by Louis Vuitton, Rose des Vents. Yes, you read it right, Louis Vuitton has launched seven new fragrances in September 2016; all of them are feminine and mostly floral. I read somewhere that before this, Louis Vuitton had launched a perfume in 1946, and after 70 years, it has launched seven lovely feminine fragrances. Jacques Cavallier is the mastermind behind these lovely fragrances. Rose des Vents is a floral bouquet of roses, and when sprayed, fills the air with a wind of fresh roses. A whisper of petals opens up new horizons. A navigator’s indispensable tool, the rose des vents is the traveler’s faithful companion. An olfactory guide, Maître Parfumeur Jacques Cavallier Belletrud transports us to the middle of a field of roses in Grasse. Buffeted by the wind, this singular flower seems to breathe. Sleek and stately thanks to iris and cedar, this perfume takes on glazed accents as it comes into contact with pepper. Gradually, the composition becomes as delicate as the skin of a velvety fruit. As golden as the first light of day.
Centifolia rose absolute
Turkish rose essence
Bulgarian rose essence
My Experience with Louis Vuitton Rose des Vents Eau de Parfum:
Packaging: Rose colored fluid comes packaged in a cylindrical shaped, crystal clear glass bottle with a black colored spray cap and a black colored magnetic outer cap. The best part is that the bottle is refillable, without being opened. Just have to take it to Louis Vuitton boutique or a branch which have perfume fountains avant-garde with tools specially designed and exclusive to Louis Vuitton perfume bottles. The perfume bottle will be refilled in a few moments, without being opened. Just like a futuristic capsule! The perfume does not come in contact with the surrounding air, and hence, remains fresh and original. Wow! isn’t that Great?Packaging is definitely luxurious and travel-friendly.
Mind blowing! Rose des Vents is a perfect floral perfume for a light-hearted woman who believes in the true beauty of flowers and loves wearing their aroma. I wonder why Louis Vuitton did not launch any perfumes earlier. Wow, 70 years is a real space of time! I have seen girls and women going crazy over Louis Vuitton bags, purses and leather items. Not that I am a big fan of LV bags! However, the launch of these seven feminine fragrances has given us much more to go crazy about, and I am definitely included in that perfume crazy cult.
However, these fragrances are too highly priced and not so easily affordable. So, you will have to think and be wise. Rose des Vents is a rose-coloured fluid and smells absolutely like a garden of fresh roses. It is very aptly named “Rose des Vents” (wind of roses/air of roses). The perfume is kept delicate and natural and when sprayed, it feels like an air or wind of fresh roses coming from a garden. Three types of roses are used to give a natural and pure effect of rose fragrance. Rose Centifolia absolute, Turkish and Bulgarian rose essence revolve around the top, and the heart notes along with Florentine iris and the base notes of woody cedar along with spicy pepper give a glazed accent to this beautiful perfume.
The fragrance is light and natural; it’s like capturing the real flowers in a glass bottle. Silage is too good and the wear time is above average on the pulse points and outfits. However, much longer on outfits. The only con is the price; so I wear it on special occasions and sometimes during daytime in summers to keep smelling beautiful roses surrounding me. As you see, I have used half of it and really do not want to finish it so quickly, but usually, get tempted to use it more often. The thing that attracts me is the naturalness of the aroma; it’s very smooth and light and yet lingers on and on. Packaging is kept simple and clear but feels luxurious to hold. The best part is the bottle is refillable, but then one has to go to their boutique where that have these perfume fountains. Wow, I have never been to such a boutique, but it must be so fascinating!! If any of you have been to such boutiques, please share your experience in the comment below.
