I know it’s a little late but here are the photos and swatches of In the Grove Collection – Mineralize Skinfinish, Mineralize Eyeshadow and Mineralize Blushes.
Full collection was not launched in India (atleast not in Delhi). Most of the stores are still left with a few things from the collection and you may check if you want to. You might also find Stereo Rose at a few stores. It is still available at a few stores. Surprised? Well! Stereo Rose is an awesome product for people with very fair complexion. It gives a reddish rosy flush but on Indian skin tones /wheatish skintone, it doesn’t look anything exceptional. Infact if you have a darker or even very pale skintone, it might even look muddy.I can understand why Stereo Rose went out of stock within hours in US and UK. 🙂
Guess I am passing all the “most hyped” products these days. lol!! First, the marine highlighter and now the Stereo Rose. 😛 By the way, I didn’t buy it even when it was available. Sigh!
Anyway here the pictures:
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural : Comfort : A regular bronzing colour with golden veins to it.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural By Candlelight : It’s a pale peach colour. Great for highlighting or just for that nice shine on cheeks.
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Petticoat : It’s a pinkish bronze colour and has some mauvy veins going all around it. It’s a great shade for people with wheatish or dark skin tones.
Stereo Rose : It’s a reddish -coraly colour. IMO, great for people who have very fair complexions and get that natural reddish rosy flush when they blush. 🙂 It gives golden sheen to it when applied on cheeks.
MAC Mineralize Eye Shadows: These are teh best I ahve found in the collection., A few of them were not even released in India.
MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow Making it Easy: A band of 3 colours – peach , muted gold and ornagey brown . Great for everyday neutral looks.
MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow Blue my Mind : This one I lovvveeddd color wise but the two blues are not as pigmented as I would want them to be. Pale Blue, Turquoise and black. Black is really black and gorgeous.
MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow Togetherness: Smokey Gery, inky purple and muted lilac. The purple in the middle has a silvery frosty finish. A cool toned trio, might not work well together for a lot of Indian skintones but might work separately when paired with warmer colours.
MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow In the Groove :Orangey peach, burgandy and pale khaki with white sheen. Beautiful beautiful trio.
MAC Mineralise Blush Duo Band of Roses : It’s a bright pink duo- fuchsia pink and burgundy. Both the colours are very pigmented and you can easily go overboard with then. Clown cheeks? The colours have soft sheen to them.
MAC Mineralize Duo blush New Vibe : Bright purply pink and high shine goldeny copper colour. Honestly, I have no clue whey these two are together. I mixed these two together, the base colour came as a bight pink and there were very fine specks of copper. Not something I personally liked.
MAC Mineralize Duo Blush Hang Loose : Cool tones blush- baby pink and silvery sheen lavander.
MAC Mineralize Duo Blush Happy Together: True to the name, these look happy together. 😛 Pale goldeny peach and peachy brown colour. No brainer and Pretty!
Lipsticks, and lipglosses coming up next. 🙂
If I HAVE to like SOMETHING from these, it woud be Petticoat and In the groove…
REst is pretty blah…
he he loved petticoat myself. It’s soooooo pretty and looks lovely on our skintones. 🙂
i really liked the blush happy together….will look good for daily wear…..
.-= gunmeen´s last blog ..APRIL FOOL BANAYA!!!!! =-.
yeah, the blush looks pretty happy together. 😛
Yeah nothing reallyy v attractive, though I did like Stereo Rose on Rashmi
Stereo Rose is pretty but it would look super pretty on people with fair complexions. For them it’s a great investment. Not too much of wheatish skintones. will check out rashmi’s . 🙂
Hi Rati, I just got Stereo Rose and Petticoat today.
oh wowie. I can imagine how beautiful Stereo Rose would look on your skintone. :))
And Petticoat is one of my fav among these. 🙂
Is this Mineralize skinfinish Natural the same as the baked powder ?
Nothing much actually. But some of the lighter shades of skinfinishes can use used all over the face as well for a nice subtle glow. Most deeper shades of skin finishes can be used as blushes only and may be as eyeshadows(wet).
So you mean to say that some shades like Candlelight would be suitable for full face application ? ?:-) I got Skinfinish in Medium Dark and it kinda gives me a bronzed which am not too fond off :-(( . Is it that I have not chosen a right shade ? The SA told that it would suit my skin tone but I now feel that the shade does not mztch . I like the product as such though.
Lavanya, if it looks bronzed then you have got yourself a darker shade. Try applying it with a big fluffy brush so that you get lesser product on the brush.
Skinfinish natural are mainly the ones that can be used daily as an all over face product.
Candle light would mainly be used as a highlighter but can be used all over the face lightly only for the evenings or parties to get a nice glow on your face. Skinfinish natural is a daily usage product while these skinfinishes are used as blush or highlighters, specifically.
oh another thing, mac mineralize skinfinish are sheerer than the real blushes and that’s why some of them can be used all over the face.
Ya even I had the same doubt. Maybe I should try to get a shade that matches my skin tone.
New Vibe…is so goldeny!! Guess everything is just the wrong colour for me.
I liked petticoat a lot. :))
New Vibe is hands down for Indian Bridal makeup.
Yup Petticoat is nice…
Very nice swatches Rati. Sorry to hear Stereo Rose doesn’t look so well for ya. I really like the color and yes it sold out instantly in the US. I’m surprise the collection launched so late in India.
