I am someone who does not play with coloured eyeliners or eyeshadows too often. I loove my blacks, khakis, and browns and that’s what I stick to on most days. It’s only once in a while that I like to do a bit of color on my eyes.
When I swatched Tarnish at the store, it was love at the first sight. Tarnish is a deep blackened green with teeny bit of (almost invisible) golden shimmer. I love this eyeliner. It is green but it is black.. you know what I mean. 😛
I love MAC eye kohls – Teddy, Smolder, Feline. I have never had issues with any of them and neither I have with this one.
My Experience
- it is creamy
- it stays on for good 8+ hours on me but if you have very watery eyes, it might stay on less.
- it smudges and helps in creating soft smokey eye within seconds. You set it with a co-ordinating eyeshadow or pat some compact just underneath the lower lash line and it would not travel down. It does not smudge too much anyway but gives you ample time to play with it.
- it is softer color than black to wear it during the day time. You can also increase the intensity of the color with a few more swipes.
- does not irritate the eyes.
- love that it can be sharpened.
The only reason I feel that some people may not like it because it smudges.
Overall, I totally love this eyeliner. I liked the color instantly but still was a little hesitant at buying it. But the SA convinced me in picking this up. I am glad I gave this eye kohl a chance. Highly recommended especially to those who are looking for a change from their regular blacks and browns.

its a very pretty color but i have exceptionally watery eyes. all kohls smudge on me badly 🙁 but still i love this color 🙂

not fair Rati…y did u have to tempt me with a gorgeous Kohl now…i want it but cant have it coz of the smudging issue…..how does it compare to the colossal kajal /lakme 9 to 5 kohl/loreal contour kohl?the first two wears fine on me n the last one is ok…..
