Mac Viva Glam IV Lipstick Review

Skin Tone- Medium, NC42, warm undertones

Surprisingly this pretty shade from the Viva Glam range was not reviewed in details on IMBB. I decided to do the honors and here is the review on the Viva Glam IV.

My Experience with Mac Viva Glam IV Lipstick:

The packaging of the Viva Glam range is different compared to the regular line of Mac lipsticks. The body is a mix of red and black which is otherwise silver and black. I got this palette as I am a huge fan of Mac lipsticks and it came in with all the 6 shades from the permanent Viva Glam range. It is a collector’s item and I just could not let it go.

The finish being frost, the texture of Viva Glam IV is lightweight and easy to work with. It does not feel dry or patchy on the lips. Though there are micro shimmers in the shade, it does not feel gritty or uncomfortable on the lips. Two swipes are required to make the real color show up on the lips.

Mac describes Viva Glam IV as mid-tone rose with gold pearl [Frost]. For me this is beautiful rose-gold shade and an ideal wear for day events. It not only brightens up the face but being in frost finish gives the illusion of fuller lips as well. It can be paired with a variety of makeup looks and is again a winner shade in the Viva Glam collection.

The staying power is less but that can be improved with a lip liner as a base. Without any lip liner or base the lip color stays on my lips for 3-4 hours and then fades evenly. Thankfully the shimmers do not travel all over the face while fading.

• Suitable for lot of skin tones and age groups.

Cons of Mac Viva Glam IV Lipstick:

• Pricey.
• Poor staying power.
