I have recently gone crazy for eye makeup. So I bought this MUA Makeup Academy Romantic Efflorescence Palette. I usually love smoky eyes look rather than bright popping colored eye makeup. This MUA Palette is nice for a romantic soft eye makeup look. Let’s move on to the review.
Price: I got it for Rs. 562/-
My Experience with Makeup Academy Romantic Efflorescence Palette:
I usually like n*de eye makeup or smoky eye look. MUA Romantic Efflorescence Palette is great for plum, metallic smoky look and also natural makeup look. Price is really affordable as an eyeshadow palette. You can easily find this one on the online store, but not the local store.
Packaging: Packaging looks very common like so many other eye shadow palettes. This palette comes in a beautiful unique white box with a flip flop clear lid. Cap works as a window. Packaging is nice and very light weight. But you need to very careful when carry it. I don’t think this is a strong one. All the shades details and the products claims are printed on the back of the palette. There is no mirror I wish there was.
It also comes with a double ended white sponge applicator. White sponge is not look good after use. I think they try to match the color with the box. This sponge applicator is good for much pigmented eyeshadow or creamy eyeshadow but I am not a fan of sponge applicator.
Shades & Quality: MUA Romantic Efflorescence Palette holding 12 eye shadows, mixture of matte and shimmery eyeshadow. You can get both textures in one palette. As I mentioned that all the shade details are given in the back of this palette. Shades look great but some are not that much of great what I expected. After applying some of the shades looked very similar. This palette contains light highlighted shades to dark outer Conner shades. All the shades are very soft and striking.
Mesmeric: Most light shade in this palette. This is the perfect matte highlighted shade. This can be use as a base color or as a blending shade.
Tempt: This is a gorgeous purple shade with contains red shimmer. I love this shade. This is good pigmented shade. But it takes a little bit effort to blend properly.
Corrupt: This shade looks like a very dark black one in the palette but this is a dark matte grey in color on eye lid. I am so disappointed to saw this. It is pigmented but not that much what I expected. Color build up quality is little less. But it’s easy to blend.
Bewitched: A nice light brown shade with silver shimmer. This is also a pigmented shade and easily bendable on eye lid.
Magnet: A matte brownish grey shade. It is a little patchy and hard to blend. This is also a great shad for smoky look.
Exposed: It’s a light brown slivery shade or a silvery light gray one with lots of shimmer. But in day light it looks like green undertone. Pigmentation is great with a nice color build up quality. You can create a party look with this.
Obsessed: This is one of my favorite shades. It’s a dark chocolate brown shade with lots of silvery shimmers. It is most pigmented one, great for metallic look. It has a super color build up quality. 🙂 I would like to use this on the outer corner of my eyes.
Lavish: This shade is very light matte shade almost like natural skin tone. I don’t like it that much. I feel little chalky.
Fiery: Such a great shade. I’d like to call it a Metallic gold shade with shimmery. This is very glossy and bright shade. I love this shade. It’s much pigmented but it has a tendency to fall out. You can notice in my swatches.
Siren: Another matte shade comes with a brownish purple color. This shade is little patchy one difficult to blend out smoothly.
Reveal: This is a light shade mostly looks like silver. This is very shimmery shade and very pigmented also. It may have fallout some times.
Captivate: A medium brown shade with matte texture. This is only matte shade with great pigmentation and easy to blend also. It is great for office.
It’s a gorgeous natural eye shadow palette. But I can’t say that I like all the shades. They all have different quality and texture. Though I am a matte lover but in this case, I like the shimmery shades over the matte shades. Matte shades are more patchy than shimmery I feel. All the shimmery shades are easy to blend and very pigmented. You can create day and night looks with this one Romantic Efflorescence Palette. You don’t need much effort to show off the color on your lid. The eye-shadows stay for 4 hours on my normal to dry lids. , but if you have oily eye lids then use a primer before applying the shadow. They never mess up together or creas badly. I am okay with this performance. I also use the light shade as a highlighter & matte brown as contour. It provides a decent glow effect. I love using this eye shadow palette and it’s great for beginners.
Pros of Makeup Academy Romantic Efflorescence Palette:

IMBB Rating: 3.8/5
Would I Repurchase Makeup Academy Romantic Efflorescence Palette?
This will last long I hope and think.. I would like to try more palettes from this brand.
Would I Recommend Makeup Academy Romantic Efflorescence Palette?
I can’t say, this is a great palette but some shades are really good especially the shimmery shades are lovely. If you would like these shades then you can try this because it’s a pocket-friendly palette.
