Few months ago, Maybelline India launched color sensational vivid matte lipstick range and recently they have included 9/10 new shades in this range. I am a big fan of Maybelline’s lipsticks, so I have picked a very pretty shade. Today’s review is about the shade ‘Vivid12’. Let’s get into the details.

My Experience with Maybelline color sensational Vivid Matte Lipstick-Vivid12:
Packaging: Like all other Maybelline lipstick ranges, it also comes with that significant red cap and sliver tube packaging. I don’t know why Maybelline don’t change their packaging. It looks all same in my tray, so I always get confused with them. Also, the details are printed on a plastic cover, which destroys once I open it. There is a color coded sticker on the back of the tube, with the name printed on it. It helps to identify the shade. Overall, I find it absolutely travel friendly.
Shade & pigmentation: The shade vivid12 is a very pretty fresh bright coral shade, that looks perfect on my medium skin tone. It has a light warm pink tone, that makes it so beautiful. This is the cutest coral I have and it doesn’t washout me, which is really good. It has a slightly neon tone, but fine for almost all skin tone, expect too dark tone. It’s a perfect summery shade, that looks natural as well as bright on face.
I love this shade so much. Also, the shade doesn’t have any shimmers in it and it is really great pigmented, that needs only two swipes for the perfect color pay off. It can hide pigmented lips and makes lips pout perfect. But, I wish they come with some shade name, I don’t like numbers on my lipstick.
Texture & quality: Maybelline always comes with good texture and this lipstick also has a soft smooth texture, which glides so easily on lips and it gives a soft smooth lips. It evenly occupies my lips and feels extremely light. Its soft texture never dries out my lips and keeps them hydrated nicely. Also, it never feels patchy even with the layers.
Lipstick provides a very nice velvety matte finish and it looks so beautiful on lips. Finishing is not 100% matte, but I always prefer non-drying matte texture and it is just like that. For its creamy matte texture, it does transfer, until it turns into a super matte coral stain. Lots of color goes with one cup of coffee but as it is a pigmented shade, so my lips still look really nice. But, it doesn’t settle on fine lines. Only after meal or when it turns so matte, then it feel little dry.
Staying power: It stays long around 6-7hrs with a meal. It can survive lunch nicely. As it is not a transfer proof, so after meal it looks fade. But it leaves a beautiful coral pink stain on my lips and the stain last long. It doesn’t look messy on lips. One reapplication can survive whole day. Also, the shade is easy to remove with a wipe.
Overall: This is just my kind of pretty coral shade and currently it becomes my go to shade. Beside the color, I also love its quality and it is just like a good Maybelline lipstick which we all love.
