The Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid lipsticks were launched a while ago and I have already reviewed two shades from this range – “Electric Pink” and “Fuchsia Ecstasy.” Today, I am reviewing the shade “Pink Charge.” So, read on to find out more about this lip product.

My Experience with Maybelline Pink Charge Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid:
Packaging: This liquid lipstick comes in a transparent rectangular tube with a black cap. The packaging is pretty simple yet effective. The cap is a screw-on type and hence there is no danger of it coming off loose. The name of the lipstick appears on a sticker at the bottom. The applicator sponge is pretty long and flat. It picks up a decent amount of the product. It is easy to use and makes the application precise and quick.
Shade/Pigmentation: “Pink Charge” is a bubblegum pink. This kind of milky baby pink does not really look good on Indian skin tones and this lipstick is no exception. It is very tricky to carry off and I personally am not comfortable wearing such shades. The lipstick is decently pigmented, but somehow my actual lip color peeps through slightly in one swipe. I would not recommend layering because the lipstick tends to lump when layered.
Texture/Finish: This is a liquid lipstick and has a creamy texture. It is not very runny and spreads easily on the lips. This range is advertised as matte, but the lipstick does not dry down completely and remains slightly wet throughout its wear time. It has a pretty glossy finish.
The lipstick feels comfortable and lightweight on the lips and does not feel drying. It does not highlight any dry patches, but I would still recommend exfoliating lips before application. I did not notice any feathering with this shade, but I would recommend using a lip liner.
The lipstick has a faint scent but nothing too overpowering. The good part is that the scent doesn’t stay on for long once applied.
Lasting Power: Since this lipstick is not truly matte, it does transfer. It lasts on me for around 4-5 hours depending on what I am snacking/drinking, but honestly, I have tried this lipstick only at home for the purposes of testing. I am not confident wearing this kind of a shade in public.
Pros of Maybelline Pink Charge Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid:

Cons of Maybelline Pink Charge Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid:
- This particular shade will not suit all.
- Does not have a matte finish as advertised.
- Clumps if layered.
- Average staying power.
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Maybelline Pink Charge Color Sensational Vivid Matte Liquid?
