I picked this up in a hurry, then realized the offer was already availed, I did not need to add this :/ the 3 for 2 offer, Boots has them on products all the time, where you get the cheapest product of the three free! Anyway, this blusher is kind of a plummy one, which I thought was unique. When I picked it up, I thought it is matte, barely knowing this has finely milled shiny gold to it, which is almost like the texture of the blush. This makes the blush apt for dry skin.It lends the cheeks a mild glow, nothing over the top.

The blush comes in a thicker plastic, and a harsh brush. I have thrown the brush already after the picture clicking session. The blush is only half the palette, in fact the pack is very much like Max Factor blushes. The blush has very fine mild gold to it, on a rather plummy base color. If you are dark and dusky skin, this blush is for you. If you are very pale or fair, this color might just stand out a lot. The color blends well but gets patchy on my oily cheeks after 4-5 hours, which is fine by me.

The blush has an average pigmentation, it feels like nothing when swatched, or rather I should say this feels like a cheek stain rather than powder. It is not at all powdery honestly, no chalkiness but more like a tinted powder stain on the cheeks. I use a stippling brush to apply this so that color does not come very harsh. You need very little of the blush as it is a darker color.

The blush does not give me a very oily look, but has a subtle glow, I think most skin tones can try it on. The color stains the cheeks for almost 5 hours on direct skin, wuthout a primer or foundation. With some barrier on, to stick the blush too, this would last even longer. I am happy with the staying power on my combination skin. I recommend the blush, if you are looking for a slightly sheen-like finish in a mauve plum blush.
