I adore this lip balm. it has its share of pros and cons but overall it is one of the very good lip balms I have used oflate. Color blososm range is a new range of lip balms introduced by Maybelline India. These look as clear lip balms but when applied on lips, give a hint of color to Lips. There are two shades available in the range- peach and pink. See Swatches HERE.
Peach Blossom looks like a cream colored clear lip balm in the bullet but when applied on lips, it gives a hint of peachy pink color to the lips. Honestly, the tint part of the balm is terrible. It is super sheer and even if I swipe the lip balm 20 times on my lips, it does not give enough color to the lips. Even if I wait for long enough for the color to show, it just doesn’t brighten up. It almost looks like a clear balm on my lips (a little with a peachy tint) . For someone with fairer complexion than mine or lighter lip color, this might show more. I feel lipice is a total winner here.
But anyway, the lip balm itself is beautiful texture-wise. It feels light on lips, and never give that waxy or greasy feel. No matter ow many times I swipe the bullet on my lips, it never builds up to a thick layer. it is very moisturizing and totally helps my chapped lips. I love applying it underneath my lipsticks. I apply color bloom, pat it a little with a tissue and then apply my lipsticks. Total love. The lips feel so smooth with this as a base. However, the lipstick staying power reduces with this underneath. I totally don’t mind reapplying this.:D It stays on my lips for around 2 hours, which I like and after that also my lips feel quite soft. It also gives a smooth soft look to the lips. The soft glossy shine it has helps in diffusing the look of fine lines.
I like the sleek packaging. And I like that this comes in a twist-able tube format. I has a mild fruity fragrance and taste to it but not something that is bothersome. If you have used Lip Smooth Lip Balm (Mandarin) from Maybelline, this one just has the same fragrance.
Overall, great lip balm except the tint part. I am totally addicted to it. I have finished using almost one fourth of it in just a week’s times. Might pick up the pink version as well. 🙂

Peach Blossom is more peachy pink. and Mandarin is more orangey. In fact, mandarin gives a better tint to lips than the peach blossom.

love your earrings…so colorful…and the lip balm sounds promising too, but i only bought a maybelline tinted wala lip balm in cherry..th ecolor is very similar to the one you have reviewed..I like Maybelline as a brand…lot sof stuff and good pricing, though sometimes they do compromise on quality 🙁

Hey Rati,am experiencing quite the opposite here with the peach one.I have pigmented lips but this balm shows up colour in just one stroke.I do not find it as balmy as the tinted ones,though.
oh! could be possible. Does not show on my lips much. yeah it is less hevay than the regular balm. 🙂
