Ever since I ran out of my Holy Grail exfoliator, that is Cure Natural Aqua Gel, I wanted to buy something more affordable. Since this product was right next to the Cure Gel and about a ¥1000 cheaper, I picked it up. The name kind of sounds scary, doesn’t it? It’s a peeling jelly? Let’s see how it did, shall we?
Fruit-derived AHA: It floats keratin and exfoliates dead skin (old keratin). Skin actually looks brighter as dullness is removed for a clear complexion.
Plant-derived BHA: It softens and exfoliates dead skin (old keratin).
Recommended for skin with blocked pores (blackheads) and acne.
It exfoliates dead skin to create smooth and radiant skin while providing a healing aroma. It softens and exfoliates dead skin (old keratin).
Recommended for skin with blocked pores (blackheads) and acne. Massage the places where you are worried about roughness or blackheads. The gel traps and removes dirt quickly.
You can use this peeling agent made of naturally-derived components without fear or worry because it places less burden on your skin. The naturally-derived components gently exfoliate dead skin (old keratin). This is a gentle peeling agent that places less burden on your skin.
DET Clear Bright & Peel Peeling Jelly exfoliates old keratin that contains residual melanin. It also boosts your skin’s ability to accept lotion, beauty serum, etc. and enhances your skin’s transparency.
DET Clear Bright & Peel Peeling Jelly acts directly on spots and blackheads behind the wings of your nose and elsewhere, to eliminate your worries.
The packaging is very simple bottle with a push-down dispenser. It is a peach shade throughout with flowers all over the front of the bottle and looks gorgeous on the vanity. It has 180 mL of product in the bottle.
My Experience with Meishoku Detclear Bright and Peel Aroma Peeling Jelly in Rose Jasmine:
The type of peeling jelly I picked up is Rose Jasmine. There is also a version which has no aroma, that is fragrance-free, if you are scent-sensitive. You will only be able to smell the product if you get really up close. So, the fragrance is very very subtle and understated, and I really like that. I understand that in their claims, they talk about the product targeting blackheads. I don’t have any blackheads, so I cannot comment on how it acts on them.
It is a clear gel type consistency which turns into white particles (onto which the dead skin and buildup adheres to). The rest of the gel turns into water. I also find a small portion of the gel does not get blended into the skin, no matter how much you rub it in. It stays in gel form. I do find myself trying to apply more and more product each time I use it, especially around my nose, where I get the most amount of dead skin.
So, I guess I will get through this quicker than I think. I use a total of about 5-6 pumps. As for the actual application part, you have to massage the product in for a few seconds to get it going. You have to have time on your hands to do this properly or the gel will not be able to remove all the dead skin. The one gripe I have is that some of the white particles can stay behind even after washing, so I recommend washing your face thoroughly after using this.
As for the dark spots, I have many and I don’t find it doing anything for them. Maybe a thin top layer is being whisked away when I use it, but I don’t see much of a difference, personally. My skincare and even my makeup goes on really well after I use this, which is to be expected. I am a person who does not exfoliate regularly. I feel it is unnecessary to do it more than once in a week or 2. But when I do use it, I find it removes all the dead skin and build-up wonderfully. My skin just feels squeaky clean and very very soft once I use this.
How to Use:
Wash your face with a foaming cleanser thoroughly. Pat dry. Take a few pumps of the product and massage it on the face. Avoid the eye area. Wash off and dry with a towel. Continue with the rest of your skincare regimen.
I am very interested in this product and want to try more aroma types in the future. But the next immediate purchase is definitely my trusty old Cure gel.

Cons of Meishoku Detclear Bright and Peel Aroma Peeling Jelly in Rose Jasmine:

Would I Recommend Meishoku Detclear Bright and Peel Aroma Peeling Jelly in Rose Jasmine?
If you have been using harsh bead-type scrubs to exfoliate, then you would find this is a welcome change because it is more gentle. Thank me later! 🙂
