Milani Baked Blush – 03 Berry Amore

Milani Baked Blush – 03 Berry Amore

I’ve been very curious and eager to try MAC Mineralized Skin Finish Blushes but their price tag kept me from getting one. I admit that I am super frugal and would wait for sale and would go for affordable dupes whenever possible.  I searched over the internet to find what could be the possible dupe for MAC MSFs and it is the Milani Baked Blushes they say. I can’t compare since I never tried the MSFs but let me share with you my experience with this possible dupe they are suggesting, the MIlani Baked Blush in Berry Amore.

My Take onMilani Baked Blush – 03 Berry Amore:

I am the kind of girl who can splurge on a potent eye cream or highly rated, highly recommended anti-aging creams but spending around $25 for a blush is something I am unprepared for yet. Hihihi. As I check around MAC MSFs are around $25 per pan so when I learned Milani has a product which is a possible dupe for that, I went to Walmart to get one and try. Online, I find it being sold for $7 to $8 but lucky me, I bought mine for $4 only.

Milani Bake Blush comes in a round, golden plastic compact case with transparent lid. I love that because I think I’ll be getting another shade pretty soon. I want that I can see the color of the blush from the outside. These bake blush looks so nice to look at too. The swirls of gold pigment against the blush shade, pink, peach, coral etc. It is so beautiful. The compact case has a compartment for a blush brush that’s just underneath the pan that holds the blush itself. I like that it has brush and mirror with it that makes it very nice to tote around. The bush is just ordinary but it does its job well.

Milani Bake Blushes are available in 8 shades and Berry Amore shade is berry in color with gold infused in it. When I swipe my finger on the pan, I find shimmers which kind of scare me at first. But once applied on cheeks and blended lightly and nicely, it looks so beautiful. It was like a blush and highlighter in one. It give that nice flush on cheeks that berry pink with is luminous. I don’t want shimmery highlighters before because they tend to emphasize pores but I love that this one does not do that on me. It is super pigmented and very easy to overdo. I just dip my brush lightly on it once and it gives nice amount of color on cheeks already. Again, be easy on application and blending is the key. The color stays on for 8 hours on my face! That’s long and quite impressive!

  1. I love Milani products and their packaging. It says “Made in USA” on these products, which many of the same priced cosmetics don’t. So it also makes them nice gifts to get back home to friends. You know some of my friends do check if their gifts say made in USA or made in China or worse, made in India. *haan ji* 😛 They are usually on sale or one for one offer in CVS, Walgreens and Wal-Mart.

  2. I completely agree with u Val I have one of these and they are great dupes to Mac, just the same if not better great shade and review 🙂
