Milani HD Advanced Concealer Review

Milani HD Advanced Concealer

Hello ladies,
Today I’m going to review the the Milani HD Advanced Concealer. According to me, the most important makeup item for any Indian woman is a concealer. Even though many of them are blessed with flawless skin, dark circle remains as a common problem to all. Thats proves the importance of concealer in makeup.

I have a fairly clear skin with noticeable dark circle. I don’t use foundation on daily basis. I use a concealer and a compact/powder foundation as my base make-up. I use MAC studio fix concealer in NW35 and I was quite happy with it. The only problem was that I found it a little heavier during summer.

That’s when I decided to buy the “Milani HD Advanced Concealer”. I have read a lot of good reviews about it. Lets see how it worked for me.

My Experience with Milani HD Advanced Concealer

It comes in four shade as 01 Light, 02 Medium, 03 Medium Beige & 04 Medium Honey. I bought it in the shade 03, Medium Beige, as it seemed to have peachy tone to it. I wouldn’t call it as the perfect shade for me. But as it blends well with the skin around my eyes, it brightens up my under eye area.

Packaging: Many reviewers have compared this to the YSL Touche Eclat. Both the packaging looks almost the same. Both comes in click pen model. But I can’t comment about the performance as I have not used YSL Touche Eclat. It takes a while and multiple clicks for the product to be dispensed for the first time. It reduces to couple of clicks after that.

Texture: It is a creamy light wait product. It bends well and does not settle in creases. Though it comes with a brush tip, I need to use my fingers or a brush to blend the product after applying it with the brush for a more blended look. It does not have any smell to it.
It is a light to medium coverage concealer and will not cover heavy dark circles. It just gives that fresh look to eyes. It does not contain any shimmer particles in it. So may not be helpful for highlighting purpose.

It stays for about 4 hours after which we may have to re-apply.

Pros of Milani HD Advanced Concealer

1. Light weight concealer for everyday use.
2. Does not cake up easily even if we apply multiple coats.
3. Blends very easily
4. Does not settle in fine lines around the eyes.
5. Can be used alone without a foundation.
6. Does not look cakey.

Cons of Milani HD Advanced Concealer

1. Not suitable for people with very heavy dark circles.
2. Not suitable for covering obvious blemishes.
3. Staying power is less.
4. Less shades to choose from. Finding a right shade might be a problem.

Overall Verdict: Texture wise this is a very good everyday concealer. You are lucky if you can find your right shade in this.

  1. Nice review.
Agree with renji. I bought myself a concealer but its not matching my skin tone now. At the shop with those lighting’s i found it good. But when i came home and used it, its kind of prominent.

    1. It always happens saranya. But concealer being a bit ligher is ok. It would brighten up the eyes. Make sure you don’t use blend it well with foundation.

  2. I always like these lightweight concealers. easy peasy and on the go! 🙂 but yeah these dont work for those with very heavy dark circles. :((

saranya, may be you could mix the shade a bit with your foundation color and then use…. 🙁 or may be pick up a compact of darker shade and then try to work with it…

  3. I think one should always stock up on two to three close shades of concealer instead of trying to find the perfect match in one go…A recent makeup trend (used by cheryl cole, kim kardashian ) is to highlight the eye area in a triangular shape (obviously blended later ) with a lighter concealer – so that it highlights and brightens and lifts up the eyes and the surrounding area. To conceal severe blemishes ,one has to use a skin shade or a darker shade (depends on the darkness of the blemishes ) to cover them up.

  4. I have this concealer and totally agree with you. I first bought the medium beige and turned out to be pink on me. The I got the honey.. its with yellow undertone and works fine for me..
