My Experience with MUA Shimmer Kiss Pink Shimmer Kisses Blusher:
Starting with the packaging of the product, the blusher comes in a small square shaped pan. The pan is glossy black in color with a clear lid. The lid shuts very securely and does not open up. The lid has the product name imprinted in silver color, which looks nice. It has a beautiful glittery lip imprinted on it. This clear lid helps to see all the four shades of the blusher even with the lid being shut. The back of the pan has product details like description, ingredients list, etc. mentioned on it. The packaging looks so pretty & feminine. It is sturdy enough and travel-friendly.
Highlighters are trending so much these days and I was searching for a good one since long. Hence, I laid my hands on this one from MUA. Though, the brand has tagged this product as a blusher but I would say it is basically a highlighter. At least for Indian skin tones, such a light pink will not work as a blusher. And applying too much of the product makes the cheeks too shimmery and gives a weird appearance. You will get four different variants of the highlighter in a single pan.
First one is dark pink shade with good color pay off. Second one is a light pink. Third one is a baby pink while the fourth one is a rosy pink shade. You may also swirl it all together to get a mixed subtle pink color. All the shades are different derivatives of pink and are shimmery in nature. This one is perfect for fairer skin tones.
The pigmentation is not very intense; I need at least 3-4 swipes for the intensity to show up properly. It looks subtle on the cheeks and highlights the cheekbones perfectly. The texture of the blusher is soft and smooth. It blends so smoothly on to the skin. The application is pretty effortless. There is a little fall out. The shimmers are finely milled and do not look chunky. It can be worn even at the daytime. The lasting power is a con. It stays for 4 hours approx. and starts fading gradually. Overall, I find it good as a highlighter. The product description says that it is good for highlighting but its name is quite misleading.
