This review will be on a product which I have absolutely loved lately. With so many products now in the market, you can’t possibly get everything and some products get overlooked. This product was one of those items which I never gave a second thought about and it’s only when I received this deluxe sample along with my recent purchases from Sephora did I start to use it and fell in love.  Read on to know more about this Murad Invisiblur™ Perfecting Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 30.

My Experience with Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield:

Packaging:  This product comes with a pump dispenser. I usually prefer products with a pump because this type of packaging limits the contact of the product with air, hence keeps the ingredients stable and also hygienic.

Texture/Consistency/Feel and look on skin:  This product is a gel-silicone based product. This product claims to treat, blur and protect skin – and most of the claims I have found to be absolutely true. This product acts as a sunscreen and primer, all in one for me. I use this before makeup and it spreads and absorbs instantly into the skin without any greasy, sticky residue. My skin feels so soft and silky smooth post application. Due to its silicone base, it also fills in and blurs pores and smooths out texture on my skin making it ready for foundation application. My foundation just glides over it without effort.

The finish this product leaves on the skin is velvety matte. There is no shine or dewiness. I also found that whenever I used this it also prolonged the wear of my makeup and controlled shine to some extent. There is no white cast even in flash photography.

I absolutely love the fact that this product contains SPF 30 hence I do not have to worry about incorporating that additional step in my routine in the morning. This product goes on clear hence people of all skin tone can use this without worry.

This product is hydrating, but for my dry skin, it is barely enough. Since it is summer time and my skin leans more towards normal than dry, the hydration this provides feels enough for me. I also love how lightweight it feels on my skin, but come winter time, I know I will have to use an additional moisturizer with this.

I cannot support the claim of it being an anti-ageing product or its effect on reducing fine lines as I am still in my mid 20s and I wear this product in rotation with other things, so I am yet to see any of those benefits.

Fragrance:  This product has a strong scent, but it is not an offensive scent. It smells perfume-y and the scent does linger for a little while.  A cause of concern which is true for any silicone product is that there is a possibility of it clogging the pores if you do not take care to be extra thorough with your cleansing routine. I use my Clarisonic whenever I use a silicone-based product and I have not seen any ill effects.

Overall, I am super impressed with this product and I will recommend this. I love everything about it and I am so glad I got to try this sample, otherwise I never would have thought about getting this. I am most definitely considering repurchasing this.
