My Visit To Mumbai and Some Makeup and Beauty Haul!

Hi All,
I have just returned from a fabulous trip to Mumbai where I went to visit my folks, but had tons of office work too, so I mixed business with pleasure. I also made a trip to the famous Mumba Devi temple. It was my “iccha” (wish) to visit that temple. The last time I was in Mumbai, I fell sick pretty badly and could not make it. Well as my mom likes to say it ‘God has to call you” 🙂 Well, anyway, here are some pics from my trip and also some shopping, met up with other friends too, so here we go with the pics 😛

Really nice restaurant. Pigged out on some amazing starters. It is on the way to the Infinity Mall in Malad.
Loved this pic because we were laughing about something really silly and this pic just brings a smile to my face every time I see it.
Here are some random pics of stuff I picked up in Mumbai. Also, some NYC and ELF makeup stuff (courtesy my husband from his recent US trip) and the bags are courtesy my mom. I have a wedding coming up in December and was delighted to see that my mom had these cute bags.
Kryolan stuff – the orange is the color corrector, the small jar next to it is the primer, and the TV paint stick is in the shade FS 29 which is perfect for me. I am so kicked about my Kryolan purchase.
The eye shadow palettes are fabulous. Full marks to my husband for picking up these two. The one on the left I think will work wonderfully well as a day palette and the other one can be applied for a night-time out. These palettes include a primer and a highlighter too so that was an amazing bonus for me.
Food and Drink!!!
This was one of the most amazing paneer burji dosas I have ever had. This was at a nice little veggie place called ‘Banana leaf’ in Andheri West – 7 bungalows.

Last but not the least – a pretty pink colored liquor bottle that I just had to take a photo of!!!. Didn’t buy it though 😛

ya that store was really nice. plenty of good looking liquor bottles. i always find perfume and liquor bottles so interesting. Different, colors and sizes..

I shuld have told you to buy sum makeup-shakeup for me frm Mumbai as you were already on Shopping Spree & courier to Ahmedabad.. 😛

Going through the pics, seems like you had a lot of fun in Mumbai and look at all that stuff your hubby got…really cute. Paneer burji dosa made me hungry now 🙂

All the buys are perfect stuff 😛 The palettes have great nudes as well as partywear shades, kryolan wont disappoint , and the piano! OMG the piano! ..so beautiful…very classy picture that one. 😀 Loved it. But what is that bottle of foundie there in the pic with incolor and lakme goodies ? It`s not captioned. I`m really curious. 😀
Thanks Arja. I loved the palettes. The piano was really grand and I loved J.W Marriott. The lunch was fantastic especially the desserts. There was a very fancy exhibition going on too in the Hotel where those outfits and jewelry cost a billion bucks 🙂 but had such a blast checking it out.
btw, that bottle is a Loreal foundation.

not much though. My husband got plenty of earrings but I didnt take any pics :(. he knows how much I love jewlery.

oh that was wonderful stuff. it was so difficult to finish but I did it!! hahha..really tasty stuff. ya and hows chennai? I have been having calls all morning. I do crisis management for my company so have been busy with the cyclone threat for Chennai and the Hurricane Sandy one.

Thanks CJ. Thats a huge compliment. I am mostly in jeans and tops with some junk jewelry and the only time I dress might dress up is for a wedding. I very rarely dress up otherwise but let me try and see what I can do..:)

I love Mumbai but there days only when i am visiting family and friends and when i can work from home. The travellling pretty much kills me and am glad I dont work there anymore :). I have lived in Mumbai for a large part of my life- school in R.C Church Colaba, BCom in Sydenham and Masters in kalina so am a Mumbai girl all the way.
