My take on Nivea Cocoa Lip Butter:
OK, so I am this huuuge cocoa butter fragrance fan. Whenever I apply the NIVEA cocoa lotion, I end up smelling my arms like crazy, secretly wishing that NIVEA comes out with some lip product with the same fragrance so that I can lick it whenever I want to! I know I am sounding crazy!! But it seems that wish has been granted through the latest launch.
This lip butter comes in the same cute-as-a-button tin that all NIVEA lip butters come in. If you are not some hygiene freak, you’ll love it. I think almost all of us have bought something just because the packaging looked oh! So cute!
This butter is pale brownish-yellow in color. I was using the caramel cream version before this (still use sometimes), so there will be few comparisons. The texture is smooth, I would say less waxier than the caramel one. I mean this one actually melts like butter on your lips and you really don’t have to rub much. This gives a more glossier finish to the lips, not that glossy gloss, but a shine. I hope I am not sounding weird here!
On the moisturizing front, I feel this is not something for severely chapped lips. It does provide ample moisturization without the sticky feeling, but I think this is more for maintaining the health of your lips than curing. You don’t have to reapply every hour unless you are taking heavy meals. You can actually very much feel it on your lips even after a couple of hours and a few drinks. I use it below the lip pencils, the mattes, whenever I want to mellow down the lipcolor, and it works great.
Now the best part— the fragrance!! *happy dance* The smell is delllllicious. And no, it does NOT smell like the their cocoa butter lotion (I was expecting that ). This lip butter smells of cocoa+hint of coffee. I mean it has this tinge of coffee bitterness (the lotion smells all sweet). But I am not complaining at all . I looove this!
Overall, a great product to add to your lip balm/butter army as I know we can never have enough!
What I loved about Nivea Cocoa Lip Butter:
- Everything! But I’ll try to list.
- Buttery smooth, no waxy-sticky feel.
- Ample moisturization.
- Super cute packaging.
- Huge quantity at this price; will last really long.
- Last but not the least, the devilishly delicious fragrance!
What I didn’t love much about Nivea Cocoa Lip Butter:
Just one, super cute packaging is not super hygienic!
IMBB Rating: 4.8/5
