My Experience with Nudestix Magnetic Matte Lip Color Vino:
Nudestix has some amazing products. All the products are in crayon form. The most famous product of their line is the ‘Magnetic Matte Lip Color’. All the products from this brand are designed to be easy-to-use, on-the-go crayons, which are enriched with skin-saving vitamins, antioxidants and moisturizers. Each multipurpose Nudestix pencil is packed with many goodnesses and is free of harmful parabens, sulfates and phthalates.
Packaging:
The packaging is very innovative and luxe. All the crayons come in a matte black cylindrical metallic box with the brand name on the top. Each pencil comes in its own tin with a built-in mirror and sharpener that doubles up as a pencil cap. The actual crayon is black in color and is sharpenable; it has a color-coded strip at the bottom with the color’s name. The outer box is very roomy and as a huge mirror. It is one of the best packagings I have laid my eyes on. Sometimes, I pop some pencils in the tin for on-the-go use.
Shade:
There are almost eight shades in the ‘Magnetic Matte Lip Color’ range. The shade “Vino” is the darkest shade of the range. It looks like a dark vampy purple-burgundy brown shade, but when swatched, it looks more like deep browny burgundy shade with a hint of berry. It is a unique and beautiful color that will work well across all skin tones.
Formula:
The pencils are very pigmented and the texture is very creamy. The lipstick applies smoothly without tugging and pulling and sets to a powder-matte finish, similar to any true liquid lipstick. Since these are in a sharpenable pencil format they work wonderfully well as a lip liner and a lipstick. In fact, this multi-purpose product acts as a lip liner, a lipstick and a cream blush – perfect for busy people.
The formula of these sticks is just out of this world. It works like a liquid lipstick in a crayon form. Once applied, it becomes a lip tattoo as the company claims and becomes transferproof and smudge-proof. The pencil clings to the lips like a magnet and doesn’t move. As with most matte lip colours, this one looks much better when applied to exfoliated lips. The pencil feels a tad bit drying – just like any liquid lipstick – and may cling to dry patches a bit if the lips are not exfoliated properly.
Lasting Power:
I had worn it the whole day and have got to say I got really awestruck by its longevity. Nudestix claims that it is an “ultra-long wearing matte formula, which is waterproof, transfer-proof, smudge-proof and non-feathering for up to six hours”. And that’s almost true! This one lives up to its claims. It does survive meals and may have a slight fading after having oily food. What more should I say! If you are looking for a lip tattoo that lasts forever then these are for you.
