I have no clue why I purchased this primer from Superdrug 😛 Probably because of the whole packaging thing! But when I reached home, I saw this is way different than my “silicone-feel, pore-filling” primers. This was like a shiny illuminating base to my foundation. My Experience with NYC Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer:

Well, this primer comes in an easy tube, simply like a cream. This feels thin and has very finely milled shimmer. This primer has a shiny feel, so I can say this can be great for dry skin.

I use it like a highlighting base to my foundation. I have oily skin, so I can I am not fond of this shine it renders. But to be honest, I find it a multipurpose product – to add shine to dry skin and to provide highlighting glow to dull foundations.

I would say it does nothing for hiding or filling facial pores on its own. It doesn’t do anything for my lines on the forehead, but once I put the foundation on, it goes on very smooth, to be honest. I like how the foundation glides on top of it and then my skin looks even, no pores. It doesn’t help my foundation stay for longer either. I have to set it well.

Overall, if you want to add some highlight or shine to the skin, want your foundation to go on smoothly, try it, but do not expect it to even out skin or fill pores just on its own.
