I am stocking up lipsticks finally!! I am turning into a lipstick digger from having just two lipsticks in my stash previously. So, I am actually exploring what shades would suit me and I do not wish to spend much while experimenting. I grabbed different shades from a few budget brands just to explore what would look good on my complexion. NYC expert lip color is a very inexpensive range and has got a great collection of shades to choose from. I have the shade “Creamy Mauve” up for review today from this range.

There is list of ingredients on the lipstick cover, but it’s very difficult to read or capture it as the font size is very small and in white color.
My Experience with NYC Creamy Mauve Expert Last Satin Matte Lip Color:
The NYC expert lip color lipstick has a very ordinary packaging. The lipstick tube is color coded with the lip color plus the cap is transparent, so it’s very easy to identify the color even if you have many lipsticks from the same range. The shade name and number are printed at the bottom of lipstick tube. There is very mild scent to the lipstick which is not at all overpowering and does not even last for long.
“Creamy Mauve” is a beautiful pinkish shade with purple undertones. This one actually looks different in the tube and comes out as a completely different shade on the lips. This shade is actually a bit similar to ELF Tea Rose Lip Color. This one is more pink and bright compared to the ELF one.
The texture of this lip color is smooth and creamy. This shade is actually satin matte finish but it is not as drying as other matte lipsticks. Pigmentation is also admirable and gives good coverage to pigmented lips as well. I did not like the shade very much on my lips, like I said, I am still exploring lipstick colors that would suit me. I like the quality of this lipstick at such an affordable price. It claims to last for 6 hours, but then, I need re-application after an hour only. It tends to transfer a little with drinking and eating.

Yes!! Very affordable. I would check out other shades, not this one.
