My Experience with NYX Color Correcting Liquid Primer Pink:
The primer comes in a color-coded tube, so this primer comes in a lovely pink tube. The tube has a small nozzle which dispenses the right amount of product. A lot of information has been provided on the tube, which is always a good thing. I do not have any issues with the packaging as I prefer tubes anyway.
The texture is quite lightweight and it spreads so well over cleansed and moisturised skin. I do not have to massage it too much since it gets absorbed quickly and easily. I just apply a little over my skin and let it sink in for a few minutes. I can notice an instant glow on my skin as soon as I apply this primer. I was not expecting it to work for my skin tone since I have heavy yellow undertones but it works quite well for me.
It brightens up my complexion and my foundation and even concealer look radiant and bright. So, it definitely illuminates my dull skin by giving it a natural-looking but noticeable glow. It does not alter my complexion and I can still use my regular foundation. I have used it over a couple of foundations and it has enhanced the finish of every single one of them.
Along with giving a nice glow, it increases the wear time of my makeup too, but it does not even out the skin tone. I have slight pigmentation on my face and I have to use an orange color corrector to even out my complexion at times, but that’s not an issue for me. It does not hide pores but then it does not accentuate them either. My skin does not become oily or greasy with this primer on. I think it would work on all skin tones and skin types.
My skin does not like primers with silicones and I end up getting whiteheads. I have not noticed any whiteheads with this one so far, but who knows! Make sure you go through the ingredient list before buying this one.
Overall, I would say it is an amazing primer. In fact, I guess the entire range has something for everyone. Bringing color correctors in the form of primers is a good idea, even though NYX isn’t the very first brand to have done this. I was always looking for a product that can give a pink glow to my complexion and now I have found one. You should also give it a try if you feel your makeup looks dull.
