I am back with another NYX single eyeshadow review 🙂 After “Volcano” and “Burgundy Pearl”, now it’s the turn of “Silver” from this collection. This was one tricky shade for me to use in the beginning. I did not have a silver eyeshadow and had ordered this. When I received it, I was so excited and grabbed an eyeshadow brush and applied it on my lids. But something was not right! I’m still in the process of mastering the art of eye makeup 🙂 So, it took me few trials and errors to finally figure out on how to make this color work on my eyes. The eyeshadow color is muted silver with satin finish. The eyeshadow gives very subtle look and suited for morning wear. In the evening it might not stand out if you are looking for dramatic silver on your lids. As always I love this eyeshadow for its packaging. The pigmentation is decent enough, but NYX has been better in its pigmentation department with other shadows, so I expect more. The color stands out if you are using a good eyeshadow base and also the staying power increases with a base. Without base it stays on for 4-5 hours on oily lids. With base the shadow stays on for 6-7 hours. I would suggest that eye base is must for this particular color. I found that it is difficult to carry off this color on its own, in my trial and error sessions :). It would look great in combination with deeper shades like brown, plums, blue and purples. After the initial hitch, I am liking this color a lot now. In the EOTD, I have paired this eyeshadow with a purple. Please let me know, how do you like it. 🙂

Will I recommend NYX Single Eyeshadow – Silver ?

Apart from fallout issues, this is fairly good silver eye shadow. This could be a simple, no drama silver shadow in your kitty. 🙂
