Hey ladies and Sanjeev ji, hope your weekend was lazy and fun! We all shop on an impulse a lot of times and luckily most of the times the product turns out great or at least you can use it. But sometimes some products are so hopeless that even by looking at them you feel regret and anger :((

These finely woven cloths are fortified with Vitamin E, grapeseed extract and olay moisture in addition to a hydrating soap. My take on this product

The most hopeless-est product I’ve ever used. I got the bulk 6-pack thinking that these are the moist make-up removing tissues or cloths. If I had to lather- I have gazillion types of face washes right? I used it in the shower a couple of times but the bulk pack has no way to secure once opened – you know like those stick-to-retain-freshness types – well, this doesn’t have anything like that and the plastic is so flimsy that it got torn and after a few days -even though I’ve packed them in a ziploc bag- now it does not lather. the cloths have remained with me like glorified gauze-type hankies. So now I keep them in the freezer and use them to keep on my eyes for my dark circles… I am feeling so angry even as I am writing about it… grrrrr

All I wanted was a nice wet tissue like wipes. and only because I was in a hurry (AND impulsive) I ended up getting this thing – and that too in bulk… hehehe

Actually, it does remove make-up and mascara but unlike cleansers and face-washes does not go deep in the skin to clean. It’s just as you’ve put facewash on a handtowel and wiping your face with it.

And yeah- all this when the soap wala property is intact- once exposed – now they are just plain towelettes 🙁

Let me summarise it:

see the pathetic lather? LUX soap would work better 🙁

PROS of Olay Daily Facials Hydrating Cleansing Cloths

– Good for travelling : specially airlines or picnics or if you are in some village.
– If it lathers: it foams well and gives you a fresh feeling
– does not dry you out
– and now that it does not lather: acts as a good cold compress for eyes and face. and even bruises.

CONS of Olay Daily Facials Hydrating Cleansing Cloths

– Loses its soapy lathering way too soon.
– like I said: it has now become a “glorified hanky”

I still use it sometimes to remove any excess makeup that my olive oil cant remove but all in all m totally dissapointed.

Will I repurchase it? HELL NO!!!

and the next time I go to get anything like this Im going to make sure I check out a sample first. :(( So tell me girls, what’s the worst product in your vanity????

Will I recommend it to anyone? not even to my worst enemies!

Rating: 2 stars- as its a good compress for my eyes..

  2. he he he..that was a funny review Bee… 😛 😛 ..But seriously what were Olay people thinking while making it!! 😯 😯 😯 😯 Glad you reviewed it here and saved everyone from buying this disaster!! I prefer carrying cute small spray bottles and disposable tissues with me, while travelling..They really work so well..he he..I even pour some drops of rose water in the bottle!! :)) :))

My worst product so far have been garnier under eye roll on!! :(( and with impulse I bought their concealer too which makes me look like a :ghost:

    1. hey Cali I do the same carry diluted rosewater in spray dispenser and dry face tissues works really well….plus it aint messy at all…

  3. Err..I am unsure how you use this, but this is absolutely the best best best face cleanser I have ever used. I am currently on my last pack of this, and I am really worried what I will do when I finally run out of it. 😐 😐 😐 😐 And this is not a face tissue, it is a foaming face wash – I have the Olay face tissues, and those are fabulous…at the risk of getting beaten up by people here, wayyyy better than the MAC makeup wipes…but I have used the MAC ones only once in my life so I am not person to give an opinion on it. :yelo:

      1. What Bee has reviewed are foaming cleansing cloth..you have to use it like how you would use a face wash. I like this product, but guess different ppl have different experiences. Olay wet tissues are completely different product..they come in a different packaging..and are WET tissues and they are superb.

          1. I have used both Bee..this as well as the wet. I use this one..the one you have reviewed…when I am washing my face. The wet ones I use as regular wet tissues. And I like both for their respective usage 😀

  4. I have the same product – and it’s superawesome…I guess she was expecting wet tissues, so understandably was very disappointed 😀 😀

  5. I got it from US, Bhumika. I usually beg ppl to get it for me whenever someone goes abroad, but now I am fast running out 😀 Is available in US/UK?/Canada and I think Australia. Olay doesn’t sell them elsewhere I thinkkkkkk

    1. Me also handover a list to evry person goin to US :vampire: :vampire: :vampire: :vampire: :vampire: :vampire: :vampire: :vampire: :vampire: :vampire:

        1. me too…catch every frnd/hubbies frnd/hubbies frnd’s wives…. :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:

  6. This one is for sensitive skin Farha..is good…but I like the oily-combination skin cloth the best. That one has less holes in it 😀 😀 😀 😀

    1. hehe me like johnson’s & himalayas baby wipes..coz i can use it for Ansh’s bottom :ass2: also and no one can blame me if they get over soonn…

          1. gawd Farha, u gave in a totally new dimension to the “proud / blessed mother” concept. :yelo: :yelo: ;-). mom’s get to use most of the baby products & happilly credit it to the baby….. :vampire:  :lol2:

  8. well what to say its having a mix response so i will wait for its arrival in india and will give a try…..the worst cosmetic product is loreal shampoo and conditioner :spank: and even worse i have picked 5 of them coz of that stupid sale going on. :headbang: :headbang: …..now i really dont know what to do with it ….cant even gift to anyone i know i will be cursed……

  9. thats whta I thot yaa. but at least it shud do what its meant for. I rubbed and rubbed but the makeup didnt come off totally and then my face was all red 🙁
