Oriflame Beauty Face Primer Review

Oriflame Beauty Face Primer

I was an alien to this thing called β€œprimer” before I joined IMBB. I never knew a thing of this sort ever existed. Since, I am totally aware/ in awe of it now, I bought myself this primer from Oriflame.

oriflame face primer

Why I chose oriflame face primer?

First, My skin is sensitive therefore I prefer the one that contains light formula, the one that has less chemical substance. Oriflame products claim to be high on natural ingredients, and secondly, I didn’t have to go out and shop for it, the oriflame consultant came over to my place, she already had one, so I got it from her.. simple πŸ™‚

What the product claims?
Lightweight lotion formulated with silicones to soften, soothe and mattify skin. Make-up glides on and stays fresh all day. Apply under foundation or powder. Can also be used as a base for eyeshadow
Beauty professionals know that the way to a perfect finish is a properly prepared skin. Using trade secrets, Oriflame has developed the Face Primer. It creates an even, invisible layer that keeps foundation fresh all day.

Ingredient List:

Price RS. 298 for 30 ml of quantity

MY experience with this oriflame face primer
This face primer certainly lives up to being lightweight and doesn’t leave my skin looking greasy. I have used it on three occasions and it has not broken me out. I have tried this under both a liquid foundation and just a powder; I personally feel it works better under a liquid foundation as it actually does allow the foundation to β€˜glide on’ easily and makes it long wear.. This further, means that I can apply less foundation than otherwise required. Just yesterday, I mixed this with my daily moisturizer and a drop of foundation and it gave a nice glow /dewy effect for good 3-4 hours.. For me, the only thing that could be added to this face primer is sun protection but one way around this would be to use a day cream containing sun protection first thing.

I’ would recommend this primer to all beginners like me if you ’are not looking for something more luxurious. I consider it to be a budget primer at this price.

Quickly, I will summarise its pros and cons

What I like about Oriflame Face Primer?

  • The texture is smooth and creamy, glides on the face very easily
  • MY skin is acne prone and sensitive, but it did not break me out
  • Fairly Priced at Rs. 298 for good 30 ml of quantity
  • The tube type packaging is very convenient to use. It has a thin nozzle on its mouth , I can squeeze out the quantity required very easily
  • Also, the packaging is sleek, and that makes it easy to carry in your bag
  • It can also be used as an eye shadow base, so you need not buy one separately

What I didn’t like about oriflame face primer?

  • Has no spf
  • Being an oriflame product it is available only through their agents. The lady, also mentioned that it is their most sort after product, out of stock most of times. And thus, she gave it to me at full MRP, with no discount . πŸ™
  • Contains parabens, but again most of the cosmetics do..

Will I buy it again?
I may, when the product comes on some discount or scheme as the Oriflame lady says. I just got to know that Maybelline has a face primer too. I will buy that once I am half way with this.

    1. hey sireesha, i m sure u wont regret buying it, but i would recommend u d giordani make up base, since ur into pro typ make up naa.. it is said to be better than this one… i just got it yesterday, havent used it as yet…will review dat sooon πŸ™‚

    1. hello prachi , ideally, it is said dat a primer should be used after moisturising, and before foundation…. if ur skin is sooper oily u can skip d moisturiser and just use primer and thn foundation

      1. thankyou my skin is normal to combination in evening my T-zone becomes i little oily to touch…. but moisturiser necessary in morning..so will purchase primer for use after moisturiser and before foundation :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

    1. hello rupa, a primer doesnt conceal/hide dark circles… its makes your make up long wear, reduces ur pore size, restricts greasiness on the face πŸ™‚ basicly , it creates a nice base for the make up to set in..

  3. nice product’s review noopur :)).. but i thoght mayb it wud lesser in price compared to maybelline.. now being of the same price & also maybelline 1 more easily available, i think i’ll go wid maybelline.. :))

    1. maybelline wala evn i m looking for, cudnt find it anywhr, but thz oriflames products come at grt discounts often… so u can grab one thn.. most of the oriflame agents give good discounts too…

    1. Swati…go to gravatar.com and upload ur pic….just use the same email id u use here and ur pic will be visible…

  4. nice review noopur… i like the way u hav written it…. πŸ™‚
somehow i never thought that i should get it….. but after reading this will chk it out next time… thx :thanks:

  5.      noopur , but i need to find a good foundation first … lotus wala mein i look like edward’s cullens sister …. SAFED :tremble: :tremble: :tremble: :tremble:

  6. naina…. u must must must invest in a good foundation / base…. baaki e/s, lippes etc dont mattter zaada…. I would suggest MAC, (fluid if u have oily skin) ya studio tech for heavy coverage… MUFE is another grt brand for foundation…. incase ur looking for somthing less luxurious/high end, try max factor….
uss se bhi sasta u can try colorbar, i reviewd it here somtime back, ya fir apna lakme…
and wenever u go foundation shopping, get it done on ur face, n not swatched on the hand.. wait for a good 30 mins or soo n then see if the shade suits u…

  7. blooo boz bloo boxxx :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1: :jiggy1:

    1. noopur i know re , badly want a good foundation. i actually want to buy mac so am holding on , but i guess i will settle for maxfactor , abhi pune mein the SA was unfriendly so i didnt bother , am going to hyd this sunday , so will try there. any recommendations like they have so many naaa… age renew is not for me naa.. m just 21 … colorbar is bad , it made me look horribe .. but i dont use a foundation at all , maybe if i find a good one i ll get hooked…

      1. ohkies naina… ya even m liking max factor a lot thz days,,, u can try dat… acha if u not really into using zaada / heavy foundation, thn go for a tinted moisturiser for evryday use…. n for ur parties n all use good coverage waala foudation.. simple

        1. tinted moisturiser kaun sa , ponds age miracle …. errr.. abhi se ???? biotique gives me shivers :tremble: :tremble: :tremble: i loved how that ponds tinted thing looked on me , however my friend said it will activate aging quicker cos m too young for anti age now , although i told her its nonsense but it scared me enuff to stop using it .. which one from maxfactor u using ??

        2. i really lik d max factor foundation which rati uses..its nice n creamy.. also the one reviewd by priyanka today…. @ 21 i would suggest u avoid over use of foundations.. restrict thm to ur parties n major outings…

          1. hai naaa … i use lakme souffle 😐 😐 😐 😐 😐 my skin is slowly going to it used to be – flawlesss πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ *touchwood*

  8. ponds TM is highly reccod by soo many ppl…. biotique wala i have heard not good for oily skin…. waise TM bnaane ka sabse asaan way out is mixing 1-2 drops of ur regular foundation in ur moisturiser and apply it d way u use ur moisturiser..simple

    1. hhehehhheeee… u have so much of patience , kitne pyaar se u answering my stooopid questions :kissing: :kissing: :kissing:
