What I like about Oriflame Power Shine Lipsticks:

โ— The packaging: Easy to store, handy to carry and classy to look at! Besides, the pack claims to be scratch resistant and it truly is making these lipsticks look brand new even when you have finished themย  up ๐Ÿ™‚
โ— You can apply Oriflame Power Shine lipsticks right away on clean, exfoliated, bare lips without using a lip balm underneath though I find that these last you longer when combined with a lip balm. The moment you swipe them, they themselves feel like a balm is being rubbed across your lips. Oriflame Power Shine lipsticks do give you an initial spurt of moisture initially.
โ— I never use frosted lipsticks as I feel they do not suit me and look OTT. But these seem to have very subtle and sophisticated shimmer particles as opposed to glitter particles which look very pretty. I use this lipstick so does my mom who is twice my age and so does her sister who is twice my momโ€™s age ๐Ÿ™‚ It comes out differently on all of us but looks very elegant. It is one lipstick which I feelย  can be worn by women across all age groups.
โ— The staying power is an average 3 hours if you are starving yourself and skipping meals ๐Ÿ˜›
โ—I am sensitive to fragrances but this smells yummylicious and reminds me of freshly cut melons ๐Ÿ™‚
โ— It combines the effect and appearance of both a lipstick and a lip gloss.

What I do not like about Oriflame Power Shine Lipsticks:

โ— Your lips will eventually tend to feel dry after the initial spurt of moisture.
โ— The lip-balm-type-sensation also ensures that you get somewhat addicted to it and keep reapplying it whenever your lips feel dried up.
โ— The above also means that these lipsticks get over very very soon.
โ— Tends to settle in my fine lines if I do not swipe it again after a few hours. However, this is only because I have dry lips. It fades beautifully without settling in fine lines as far as my mother and aunt are concerned because they are blessed with smooth healthy lips unlike me ๐Ÿ™
โ— Some of the shades in Oriflame Power Shine range (eg: Sexy Plum, Hot Peach, Gold Touch) apply very sheer and hence this might pose to be a problem for those with pigmented lips.

Rating: 3.5/5

Verdict: As good or bad as your average lipsticks

Would you purchase again? Yes but only the pinks in this range

    1. aarthi i hate the brown too. i bought it thinking it would be a nice frosted goldenish brown but this is how it tuned out :(( now i am on the lookout for person i can gift it to….lot of ppl love dark choco brownies

  1. Hawwwwwwwwwwwwww, how did i miss these lipsticks….I love all the shades you picked up Natasha……better than the shades described in the catalogue :waytogo: :waytogo:

  2. i have this in sexy plum, it’s almost over. i was disappointed with the packaging (flimsy and light!) but the lipstick itself is quite nice. very moisturising and glossy. the colour is decently pigmented for a sheer lipstick and the shimmer isn’t ott ether. love the fresh smell of cucumber too. quite similar to maybelline’s watershine. i wish the lipstick would stay on longer! it vanishes if i as much as lick my lips and talk for a while.

    1. rima i gifted sexy plum to my aunt  i am anywayz very careful with lipsticks – i take care of them like my babies  so th pacakging works for me. yes, this lipstick is indeed glossy and moisturising. and no ott shimmer. similar to watershine but more staying power than that one.

    1. no sonam sorry i don’t think so because it comes out sheer on both pigmented and pale lips. though more on the former.but if u top it with a peachy brown gloss then i think it would resemble malaika’s alot. oriflame has another one called “peach nectar”- i haven’t tried that one but its more pigemented than this one.

  3. these remind me of the body shop sheer lipsticks…I like using all kind of lipsticks actually. ๐Ÿ˜› I like to wear different lipsticks depending on my mood .

You buy lots of shades from one range na.. I like. :))

    1. ๐Ÿ˜€  yeah rati, these are like those deliplicois or something from tbs. oriflame has even tried to copy the packaging.  but whereas the tbs ones are all metal metal even from inside, these have a a plastic slant inside.

me buys lots of lipsticks then doante it to aunts, mom and maids :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

    1. anks thse are for rs. 279 each. but i got them t he month they were launched in india in august at an introductory discount almost half the original price :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

  4. jinal do buy pink elixir. it is the second best shade after rapberry sorbet. my aunt, me and even my maid wears it :woot: :woot: :woot: it suits everyone i know :yahoo:

  5. me too pooja, i like the shades and the lipsticks are okay too. nothing too bad about them. btw i have never said hi to u . hi

  6. i wanted these real bad, but i didn’t order these for some reason.. Hot peach and trendy berry!!!!

The packaging reminds me of the new Colorbar lippies…

    1. o yes mrun. they do look like colorbar’s full finish lipsticks. actually both oriflame and colorbar have copied tbs deliplicious range i think
i hav epigemented lips so i look sick in hot peach. but trendy berry alongwith rasperry sorbet and pink elixir look pretty on me :yahoo: :yahoo:

  7. Nice review, Natasha. I have these in all the shades (except the brown one) and love their fresh smell. I love their look too, but they don’t last very long, both in terms of wearability, and also the quantity is quite less.

  8. yes sabrina. that’s what i wrote- they do get over very fast. in any case 1.6 gms is very little quantity to begin with and then they finish off so soon too. yeah and they vanish on yourr lips but me likes reapplying so problems :jiggy1: :jiggy1:
    o and they smell divine!
