Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Conditioning Shampoo Review

By Divya M

Hair type: dry and frizzy

Hello beauties,

Today I am going to review the Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Conditioning Shampoo. I normally don’t like to play with my hair care products, but I was so thrilled about Palmer’s introducing their hair products that I couldn’t resist. Read on to find out how it fared.

Price: $5.99 for 13.5 FL OZ/400ml
Product Description:
Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula products contain ethically and sustainably sourced Coconut Oil and Tahitian Monoï, infused with Tiaré flower petals. These raw, natural ingredients deeply hydrate, repair damage and give hair incredible shine. Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formla Coconut Oil Conditioning Shampoo is a rich, creamy shampoo, free of sulfates and harsh detergents, that gently cleanses and removes buildup without stripping hair or interrupting its delicate moisture balance.
No Sulfates • No Parabens • No Phthalates • No Mineral Oil • No Gluten • No Dyes

Key Ingredients:
Coconut Oil: deeply moisturizes and adds shine
Monoï Oil: hydrates and pampers
Keratin Protein: strengthens and repairs
Packaging:
This comes in an off-white simple plastic bottle with a brown flip top cap. The colour resembles a coconut and justifies the ingredients used in the shampoo. It has stickers on the front and back with the product information and name. The cap closes tight and hence there are no chances of spillage. It is a bulky 400 ml bottle, so I don’t think it is travel-friendly. I would carry a miniature size if available.

My Experience with Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Conditioning Shampoo:

The shampoo is quite runny in consistency and white/milky in colour. You need to be careful while dispensing the amount or you might end up going overboard. It has a mild coconut fragrance that lasts for a good two days. This product is excellent for dry and damaged hair and has noteworthy hair care ingredients like coconut oil, monoi oil, keratin, and Vitamin E.

After using the product my hair feels soft and detangled. I have used it with the serum and without the serum and the results are the same. Hair looks thick, hydrated and moisturised once it dries. The shampoo also lives up to its claims of giving noticeably shinier hair. I am so in awe of this product because I could feel the difference in just one wash. I skip the conditioner on many days, but still my hair looks and feels nourished and soft.

This product doesn’t have sulfates and hence doesn’t lather much, so you will have to take more quantity than the normal shampoos. At times, my hair and scalp feel a little oily and I don’t get that “completely clean” feeling. The best plus point is that this shampoo does not have parabens and sulphates, and it’s all natural.

Pros of Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Conditioning Shampoo:

• Has a nice and mild coconut smell.
• Leaves your hair soft and noticeably shiner.
• Works well even without a conditioner and serum.
• Repairs damaged and dull hair and moisturises them.
• You can feel the difference in just one wash.
• Contains conditioning hair ingredients.
• The effect and smell stay for a good 2 days.
• Extra gentle and ideal for colour-treated and processed hair.
• Palmer’s is against animal testing.
• Does not leave the scalp dry like sulphate shampoos.
• No sulphates.
• No parabens.
• No phthalates.
• No mineral oil.
• No gluten.
• No dyes.

Cons of Palmer’s Coconut Oil Formula Conditioning Shampoo:

• Non-availability in India.
• Bulky bottle, not travel-friendly.
• Doesn’t lather much.
