I want my sunny days back so I can take literally sun bathe on my terrace and strengthen my bones. Anyways coming back to the topic, I’m going to share my experience with you about Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate in Shade 111, Kiss of Life.

My Experience with Rimmel London Shade #111 Kiss of Life Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Lipstick:

Packaging: This lippie comes in a lovely black and red classic colour packaging with a click sound closure; which ensures that its closed properly. Cap and bottom of the lippie is matte black and red. At the middle,  there is a metallic black ring which says Rimmel London ; it looks chic and classy at the same time.

Shade Description: It is kind of Tomato Red with a hint of maroon at an angle. But on the lips,  it will not disappoint you with its maroon undertones.

Texture and Pigmentation: When applied, it looks a bit shiny but it doesn’t have any shimmer particles in it. After a minute or half, it turns completely matte without drying out the lips and one swipe gives you an opaque colour. With a couple of swipes, this shade comes out to be true to its name, kiss of life :P. It doesn’t bleed or smear. The texture is lightweight, creamy and does not feel heavy on the lips. Now the most important thing, staying power; it stayed for three to four hours intact with a light meal. It has very light citrusy floral fragrance, very distinguishable and not at all overpowering.

This is a totally safe shade for those who want to try bold lip colours but are skeptical. It does not look over the top and can be worn easily in daytime and night time. Sometimes when I’m in a no-lipstick mood I just use it and wipe it with a tissue cloth and it leaves a nice red tint on my lips. I use a lip balm sometimes before applying it, but if you have healthy lips, then you can ignore using the lip balm. This lipcolour fades away evenly from the lips.

• Plastic casing may break easily.
• Sometimes hard to glide on the lips due to the matte nature.
• Fragrance may be an issue for some.
