Today’s review is about Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Amber + Oil Nutrition Shampoo. The ‘Essence Ultime Amber + Oil Nutrition’ range has been developed for extremely damaged and dry hair. The product claims to have a rich formula of amber extract and oil. It’s supposed to repair the hair from inside out and to help with hair breakage up to 95%. The claims seem too good to be true. Let’s see how much in reality it worked.

My Experience with Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Amber + Oil Nutrition Shampoo:
The packaging is very sleek and handy. It comes in a rose champagne colored bottle. It’s also shimmery and has a satin finish. There is an image of supermodel Claudia Schiffer which was not really required. 😀 It has a flap lid on top which opens and closes easily. The whole packaging is sturdy and travel-safe. Overall, it’s a very attractive packaging, especially the color.
The consistency of the shampoo is quite fluid-like. It’s not watery but a little thicker than water. This makes it easy to spread and work with. The product lathers very well. It also washes off very easily. Creamy shampoos tend to stick to one area and are not easy to spread. The consistency is just to the point. The hair feels soft and clean while washing and also after washing. I used it on oiled hair; it worked great and removed the oil well.
The fragrance is sweet and quite strong. The hair smells great after wash and the fragrance lingers for around few hours. Who doesn’t love great smelling hair especially during summer months! The product has a combination of Pearl essence, panthenol, refined protein and keratin. All of these are good for hair growth. The hair doesn’t feel dry after wash but well moisturized. The product is actually targeted for extremely damaged and dry hair. I would not describe my hair as extremely damaged. My hair is chemically straightened but still doesn’t look so bad. This shampoo performed better than the conditioner. I did not notice any changes with hair breakage. But, overall, it’s a good shampoo.

If you have dry and damaged hair, this shampoo will help in moisturizing and caring, but this is not really for hair breakage.
