Review of Sephora Professionnel Kabuki Brush

Hi Lovelies,

I am going to do a really quick and short review on the Sephora Professionnel Kabuki brush today. I don’t use foundation everyday, especially during summers. So, it’s mostly a TM followed by Mac Studio Fix or the TBS loose powder – which is why Kabuki brushes are my lifeline. I pick them up in all colors, shapes, and sizes whenever I can. Lets see how this one fared.

Price: 20 SGD from Sephora SG – about 780 INR

Texture: The bristles of this b rush are incredibly soft, softer than the TBS kabuki brush even. I love blending in the loose powder with this brush because of the lovely soft light texture of the bristles, it is like a feather touch really. They are very densely packed and pick up just the right amount of powder. It does a wonderful job of blending in the powder and reaching the tiny nooks and crevices of the face – in short, I love it!

The MUA at the store told me its made of goat hair bristles, although I am not too fussy about that as long as it feels dense and soft.

My overall experience with the product:

I am completely in love with this brush for the price that it comes at. To me it looks like a tiny tuxedoed butler who is no nonsense and goes about his duties efficiently and without much fuss.
I bought this way back in March and have been using it ever since. I have washed it once every week since then (did I hear ‘yucks’ from people who wash it every day or every 2nd day at least? ). But to give credit where its due – this brush has not shed a SINGLE hair! OMG amazing isn’t it?
The bristles have stayed as densely packed as they were when I bought it without even the tiniest bit of fraying. The best part about this brush is – it is still as good as new.

It is super easy to hold the short handle in the palms of my hands and after buffing, it gives a nice, even, and smooth finish. I even use it at times when I am using my bronzer.

It is really small like a kabuki brush should be and extremely travel friendly. I just put in a plastic case and pack it in the zip where I carry my lip balms when I travel and I am sorted.

Rating: 4.9/5 (0.1 taken away because its not available in India)

Overall verdict: If you have a Sephora near you, go get it! If not, please ask your friend, aunty, anybody to get this for you when they visit India. 🙂

Highly recommended.
