I will be reviewing a liquid lipstick from Sugar Cosmetics in this post, the shade is called “Peony Genie.” I already own Brazen Raisin, Wine and Shine and Divine Praline from this range. To know more about this lipstick, read on further.

For precise application, apply it to your bottom lip first and then tend to your upper lip. Since the formula is very pigmented, we suggest applying the colour to the bottom lip first, pressing your lips together and then filling in your Cupid’s bow.
My Experience with Sugar Cosmetics Smudge Me Not Liquid Lipstick Peony Genie:
The liquid lipstick is housed in a cardboard box with a funky graphic design. I like the extra touch provided to the packaging. The lipstick comes in a rectangular tube with a transparent body and matte black cap. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube. All other information regarding the lipstick is mentioned on the cardboard box.
The applicator is a normal doe-foot type; one dip is more than enough to cover both the upper and lower lip.
“Peony Genie” is a bright pink colour with neon and peachy undertones. It appears more bright in the tube. The pigmentation is pretty good and not patchy at all. It is very liquid-y and takes a couple minutes to dry down completely.
I follow the directions for usage and I find them to be quite appropriate for this lipstick. I prefer to prep my lips by exfoliating them and moisturizing them well. I line the upper lip and fill it and then press my lips together while the product is still wet. I then apply the rest on areas which do not have the colour. Application may be a bit tricky for people like me who have thin lips, but the applicator does help to an extent.
I love wearing these liquid lipsticks for “all-nighter” events like weddings or parties as the staying power is amazing. It does feel uncomfortable no matter how much lip balm I apply underneath; however, I love the lipstick shades from this range. You most definitely cannot layer this liquid lipstick, otherwise it may result in crusty lips. The drying factor is a price you must pay in exchange for amazing pigmentation and long-lasting formula.
