The Body Shop #13 Colour Glide Lip Colour Review

Hi pretties,

I bought this lip shade during the last TBS sale. I had no intentions of picking up any lippies but I couldn’t resist the price of this.

My Experience with The Body Shop #13 Colour Glide Lip Colour:

The formulation of this lipstick is different. The ones which one copper rose gold band in the middle are sheer lipsticks. The packaging is the typical The Body Shop steel one which is very sturdy and the cap doesn’t come off easily. Though it doesn’t have a name and it’s so difficult to spot the colour among other body shop lipsticks in the vanity.
On my lips it’s very light reddish with a coral, pink tint and light shimmers which are hardly visible. This gives the lipstick a slight sparkling, metallic look with not too much into the face and had a glossy look. It goes on the lips very smoothly. More off melts like butter on the lips. Glides on like a dream. I love the smell and doesn’t smell anything close to other lipsticks. What I love about this particular lipstick, is that it’s not too creamy and not too slick, yet not too stiff like my MAC lipsticks that feel like play-doh and also heavy on the mouth. It’s the perfect consistency and I don’t need to gloss it up. I still love my MACs 😀

I forget that I am even wearing a lipstick, feels more like a tinted lip balm with good pigmentation. It goes on smooth like a lip balm but because of that, it only lasts as long as a lip balm. Because they are very moisturising, the lasting power is very low. It hardly stays on my lips for an hour and I need to reapply it throughout the day. What I like other than the formulation is, it leaves a stain on the lips. The gloss and shimmers would disappear but the stain is what keep the lips coloured and that stays for about 2 to 3 hours.

Overall it’s a lovely lip balm and I mostly use it this way.

Disclaimer: Also most of the lipsticks don’t stay for too long on my lips. I don’t have the patience to apply loose powder or do any of the tricks to make the lipstick stay longer. So if a lipstick stays on my lips for an hour, it would definitely stay on yours for at least 3 hours 😛
