The Body Shop Spring/ Summer 2011 Collection is in stores now. It is one gorgeous collection I must say- from the packaging to colours to the quality of products. Price may be a hitch for a lot of people but those who would pick, wouldn’t regret their decision.
The Body Shop Eye Palette A La Mode.
This eye palette features three pearlescent shades in silver, white and pink, and a matte black. It includes a mini Eye Definer in 01 Black and features collectable packaging designed by London College of Fashion.

There are 4 shades in the palette –
Pearly white – for highlighting and applying in inner corner of lids. The colour is subtle enough to work for most Indian skin tones. It’s not s tart white that might look OTT sometime.
Satiny baby Pink : A great all over lid colour. It has very fine silvery pink shimmer that just adds to the satin effect.
Satiny Sliver/ Grey : Great for an all over lid colour or day time smokey eyes.
Matte Black : It’s a gorgeous pigmented matte black eye eyeshadow.
There is a black eye pencil – 001 Eye Definer Pencil and a small eyeshadow brush that cna be used both for applying eyeshadow all over the lid as well as for crease work.
The eye shadows are buttery smooth and pigmented. Since the powder is super soft, there might be a little fall out but nothing that you cannot control by tapping off the excess from the brush.
Here are the swatches swiped directly from the palette.
And these swatches are done using a brush that is provided along with the palette. These are two swipes each. On the very left hand side is the swatch of the black pencil. I would say it’s a medium matte black pencil.
Overall I find the palette a great value for money. There are 4 eyeshadows, an eye pencil and an eye shadow brush . So effectively each product costs you around Rs 332.
You can use all the 4 colors to create on eye look or use individually with separate eye shadows from your collection. the shimmery white shadow can also be used as a cheek highlighter.

Wowww…..Lovely palette Rati…It is just so complete package for eyes na…like brush, eyeshadows and pencil all in one..So handy and convenient….Also the swatches look soooo pigmented!!! 😀 😀 😀 😀
I know Cali. It’s a complete palette and the eye shadows are really like butter. 😀 😀 These are much much much better palettes than what they launched in their winter collection. So fresh and beautiful. 🙂

yupp worked for me. Mom says its coz of buri nazar and all. I don’t believe in blindfaith and superstitions….but for mom’s sake I do wear. The frequency of the dream had decreased but they still come when i am sad or stressed out. I toh think its all in the mind.
