Five Steps to Achieve Beautiful Thick Eyelashes
Products Needed
1. Mascara (Maybelline Colossal Volume)
2. Eyelash Curler (Oriflame Eyelash Curler)
3. Kohl/Kajal (Revlon Colorstay – Black)
4. Eyelash Comb (QVS – Eyelash Grooming Brush)

I am one of the unfortunate girls who have not been blessed with beautiful thick eyelashes. My eyelashes are sparse and without a hint of mascara I tend to look a bit scary 😛
Today I would like to share with you some steps that I follow to make my eyelashes look more beautiful.

But for that I’d (unwillingly) HAVE to post my ‘before’ picture so that you can compare…AARGHHH!
1. First I like to tightline my eyes. It makes my eyelashes look thicker. Those who are unaware of the term : It means applying eyeliner/kohl to the underside of your upper lashes. Its like applying ‘kajal’ to your upper waterline.
Method: Lift your top eyelid gently, place your eyeliner on the waterline, look completely down (it helps :P) and draw a line.
2. Next, I apply a very very thin coat of mascara.
3. Then I carefully curl my eyelashes. The thin coat of mascara helps to set the curl. Be careful while curling your lashes as the mascara might stick to the eyelash curler. You might skip the previous step if you are a beginner.
4. Next apply two coats of your favourite mascara.
5. Finally brush your eyelashes with an eyelash comb to get rid of clumps if any.
and tada!! Just look at the difference!
• The results would be better if you use a better mascara.
• You might use mascara to your lower lashes too. Use an angular brush for that.
• The third picture is of my other eye to which I have just applied two coats of mascara.
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
Love, Urmi

Its an old trick !! Just wanted to share as it does help me a lot!
Ok, I’ll try the waterproof one next but only after this dries up… I am broke again 🙁
lovely eyes Urmi… don worry abt the lashes : half the times the models and actresses wear fake ones. hehehe
but grt trick 🙂 i was always not able to apply pencil liner on my upper lid due to extra oily lids so i Always tightlined… but now I kinda like it 🙂
Hey thanks 😛 Someday I’ll have my perfect pair of false lashes too 🙂
Pencil liner on my upper lid is too over the top for attending lectures in college… i’d be turning a few disapproving heads! So I tightline most of the time.
OH MY!!! It actually worked???? I am so gonna try it… Thank you so much for the awesome tute Urmi 🙂 I am so grateful to you!!!! :jaiho: :jaiho: :jaiho: :jaiho: :jaiho: :jaiho: :jaiho: :jaiho:
Awwww…. I just shared an old trick which worked for me…. thanks 🙂
Nice post Urmi 🙂 Ur eye in the 2nd pic(of the last 3) looked the best 🙂
thanks 🙂 The 2nd pic is the one in which i’ve followed the tut. It works!
I am toh very lazy with applying mascara. 🙁 Just curl , and apply loads of mascara. But oflate i have noticed that a lot depends on the mascaras also that you are using. Different mascaras give different results.
But nevertheless a very nice trick and i can actually see the difference. :))
Thanks 🙂
Actually, I used to heat my eyelash curler first and then just apply mascara… it worked too… but this takes less time and resources 😛
omg i do EXACTLY the same!!i agree wid u works wonders!!
yey! high 5!
                Awesome tute

rati..and all u lovely ladies…..oops sorry lovely girls above….
i have one question…..plz help….wen ever i tight line my eyes some product transfers on my lower lash line ,wen i close my eyes and smudges badly…..and if i use a water prooof product then i have trouble removing it and end up pulling a lash or two…..plz do help…….
check tightlining videos on youtube…may be its cos of ur eyes watering…or may be the way u do it isnt right…watch a couple of videos and you’ll find out ?:)
Your eyes wont water if you look comepletly down or up…. so that the person in front of you cannot see yor eyeball (scary :P)
Btw, I use my HG eyeliner- Revlon Colorstay which is just great. I have no compplaints.
That’s a great tutorial 🙂 :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo:
thanks!!
nice tuit 🙂 i like colossal vol mascara 🙂
u’ve tried l’oreal lash architect??
thanks… Nah.. havent tried l’oreal… this is my third tube of mascara ever 😛 If it suits my pocket, will try the l’oreal one 😛
ur eyes are soo pretty !! i do the same almost everyday !! 😛 nicely explained tute.. :waytogo:
yeyey! Coming from you means a lot 😀
awwww… 😛
nice 1 urmi…n i love ur eye makeup tuts too…
bt y mascara before curling ? as u sd it may transfer to the curler..and curling after it dries is risky as 1 might break lashes dat way..after drying…dats wat i read..m confused nw 😐 😐
Thanks bhumika 🙂
The mascara before curling eyelashes is for setting the curl… just like we use hairspray before ironing/curling hair. To prevent sticking of eyelashes to the curler, I apply a very very thin coat and I’m extra careful while releasing my hold on the curler. This keeps your eyelashes curled for a longer time. I havent had any accidents yet *touchwood* neither have the other gals here, right?
Btw, you can alternately heat your eyelash curler with your hairdryer for a few seconds and then curl your eyelashes. The heat sets the curl too. But its too much of hassle for me !
Hope this helps
thanks 😀
Even I follow the same method as I am somehow not comfortable with the traditional lining. BTW how do you tightline the lower lashes ?
