Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick – Melted Fuchsia Review
Yet another lip product up for review. This one’s from the Too Faced Melted Liquified Lipstick range. I had reviewed the shade Melted Ruby for you earlier and Neha recently reviewed the shade “Melted Velvet,” which reminded me to review this one. So, here is a bright fuchsia – Melted Fuchsia of course!

Product Details:
Get the staying power of a stain, the intense color of a liquid lipstick and the high shine of a gloss in one long-wear formula. Using exclusive technology to keep cauldrons of molten lipsticks liquid and creamy, Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick comfortably coats lips in bursts of intense, high-impact, super rich, saturated color that lasts for hours.

MORE TO LOVE:
- Too Faced Co-Founder and Creative Director Jerrod Blandino had never seen lipstick more beautiful, intense, rich and glossy than when it’s in its melted form in the cosmetic labs. With this inspiration, we created a lipstick liquified so it doesn’t lose its pigment or shine while keeping a comfortable, flexible and cushiony wear.
- Provides high-impact, super rich, saturated pigment in a long-wear formula.
Precision tip applicator to allow for a clean, effortless application each time (no liner needed!)
Price: US $21
Packaging:
The lip stain comes packaged in a tube with gold detailing. The tube and the outer box it comes packaged in are both colour coordinated with the shade of the lipstick, so it’s easy to pick the shade you want, if you have more than one for these. It’s an easy to carry product and does not leak. The tube has a sponge type applicator on top through which the product gets squeezed out and applied. The company has boldly put on the box “No Brush Needed.” Let’s find out if that’s true or if it’s a tall claim for a liquefied lipstick!
My Experience with Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick – Melted Fuchsia:
Color: The shade “Melted Fuchsia” is described as a “hot pink.” It’s a bold, bright, in-your-face, popping, blinding, get your glares on “fuchsia!” It’s not subtle. It’s not subtle! It’s not for the faint hearted! You need oodles of confidence to carry this off. Check the pics – you will know exactly how bold it is; the lipstick will look good and really pop on all skin tones – only if you were willing to try it! 😉
Texture: The stain is lightweight, gel-like instead of the more creamier version of Giorgio Armani Maestros. When applied, it has amazing glossiness and super lustrous. The glossiness goes off in 3-4 hours leaving behind a satin finish. The consistency is thin and the shade is whopping bright. Considering the applicator is not doe-foot but a sponge, applying with it is not totally fool-proof. The applicator takes a bit of practice to get a hang of. Also, since the consistency is thin, it’s easy to slide out of the lip line during application. And remember that this is a stain – so any errors are glaring and take a bit of work to correct.
Pigmentation: Pigmentation is fantastic, one light swipe deposits 95% color. You actually need very little product for full and even application. The colour is opaque in the first swipe itself and hides all lip pigmentation. You don’t need to go over the lips twice. Double application can actually be an issue because the excess color tends to transfer.
Lasting Power: The product lasted for about 7 hours on me, fairly long lasting. Even after the 7 hours, it still leaves a stain. It will not come off fully on its own, you will need to use a makeup remover for this. It does transfer; however, the color is still bright and bold on your lips. This just means that only the excess bit transfers.
To sum this up for you:
Pros of Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick – Melted Fuchsia:
- A bold and beautiful color– you need loads of confidence to carry this one!
- Lightweight texture – gel like.
- Excellent pigmentation – opaque in a single swipe.
- Not hydrating or drying.
- It applies smoothly and evenly – no tug or pull!
- Does not settle into the fine lines of the lips.
- Lasts for about 7 hours.
- No feathering or bleeding.
- Iconic packaging.
- Easy to identify colour from the tube itself.
Cons of Too Faced Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick – Melted Fuchsia:
- Not easily available in India.
- You need to get a hang of applying it with the applicator. Doing outline with a brush would definitely help.
- Transfers – you can control this to an extent by using less product. One tends to go overboard during application and that results in easy transference of the product later.
IMBB Rating: A 4.8/5 product.
If you can get the hang of the applicator and do not over-apply – this is gem of a product! Fantastic! The company claim says it all – it has the wear of a stain, the pigmentation of the lipstick and shine of a gloss. So, it’s not something you can apply on the run, but this will turn heads when you wear it! By the way, all colours in this range are not as electrifying! They do have some subtle and n*de shades too – in case that more up your alley.
