My Weekend Mini Haul
I apologize for the poor picture quality, I left my camera at my parents’ place and all I have now is my Nokia’s cam.
I spent my Saturday strolling around the bedazzling corridors of Select City Walk Mall in Saket, Delhi. For shopaholics like me (mostly window shopping though :D), its heaven on earth. For me, it’s not just a shopping mall, it’s a place where dreams are dreamt. If you take a deep breath, you can smell the affluence in the air. I went and pressed my rose against the glass walls of the MAC showroom , I dared not go in, maybe in a year or two, if I work my a** off, I will get rich enough to strut confidently into MAC and buy a boxful of beautiful stuff or maybe I will dump my poorer-than-me boyfriend and ask my mom to find a rich husband for me :snicker:
See, what corrupting influence pretty creams and powders in shiny little boxes can have! Damn! :spank: Anyway, back to earth. This is what I got:
- Revlon ColourStay Mineral Make-up Powder and Light Translucent to Medium.
- Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rose Wine.
- Colorbar Blush – Just Earth.
- Maybelline Eye-Quatret-Saphire Ice.
- A set of Vega brushes.
- I got a set of three hair brushes free with my Revlon purchases.
I had gone with the intention of buying the TBS powder foundation, and I almost bought it, but at the last moment, I decided to check out other brands too and went and checked the Revlon one. I felt that it had better coverage than TBS one, but that could be due to the fact that the SA shoved that free gift (three hair brushes on a purchase of Rs. 1500) under my nose and I couldn’t resist. God, I don’t even use hair brushes. I must get SA-proof as soon as I can.
The foundation is good; the shade matches my skin tone perfectly. The powder glides on smoothly, and it feels pleasantly cool in the skin. It doesn’t have shimmers like it used to have before; it’s pretty matte, but not ultra matte, but a BIG let-down is the staying power. My skin becomes shiny in about 3 hours-in AC-which is as much staying power as my Rs. 90 Lakme loose powder :/ , so it’s not really worth the 1150 bucks I paid. :waa:
The Just Earth blush doesn’t need any description, its pretty well known at IMBB. I have ZERO experience with brushes, so I just picked up the cheapest Vega brushes I could find, because all of you stress the importance of brushes so much! I will do a review on the Revlon Lipstick Rose Wine as I couldn’t find that one’s review on IMBB.
I also got a blazer for office-wear from Pantaloons and a pair of Titan watches for my parent’s anniversary on Monday. Finally, feeling satisfactorily broke; I came back home; only to find a box waiting from an online shopping website which I had ordered 2 days back, oh what bliss! :happydance:
So my total weekend haul (Select city walk+ online shopping) looks something like this:
Online Shopping Purchases:
Biotique Flawless Whitening Face Pack – Bio Fruit, Street Wear Nail Polishes (2) Blue bell and Tangy Orange, Elle 18 Lip Smoothie Vanilla Heat, FabIndia Neem- Tulsi Skin Toner, and free surprise gift: Faces Toe Separators (toe separators-sounds scary, no? 😯 )
On Monday morning, I looked like this:

I am wearing: Oriflame Very Me Peach Me Perfect Skin Glow Tinted Moisturizer, Revlon Powder foundation, Colorbar Just Earth Blush, Revlon Super lustrous lipstick in Rose Wine, Lakme’ Kajal and my new blazer.
(Yup, when I get new things I HAVE to wear it all at the first chance possible :-/ )
I was getting late and in my haste I think I didn’t wait for the blush to set and swept the powder foundation on top and ended up looking slightly orange-y.
