First of all, wish you a very happy holidays and holiday means to put a gorgeous red on lips. Today, I am going to share a review on Wet n Wild Megalast Lip Color in the shade “Red Velvet”. Let’s get into the detail.

My Experience with Wet n Wild MegaLast Lip Color Red Velvet:

Packaging: Lipstick comes in a normal black tube with a clear cap that makes it easy to identify the shade. It is simple but noting amazing as well. Hence, it is easy to carry around. Only the bullet doesn’t go inside properly, so the cap often gets messy with the color and the bullet also doesn’t feel that strong, so it might break with wrong pressure. I have to be careful with it.

Shade: Holiday season means a bright red, so I picked the shade “Red Velvet” to get that brightness on face and yes, it is actually a beautiful bright warm red with a hint of coral that is good for all skin tones. It looks bright and a red with full of attraction. I absolutely love this on me. Also, the shade is really pigmented that needs only one or two swipes to get the actual color on lips and it can hide pigmented lips too. Shade doesn’t contain any shimmer also.

Texture and Quality: The lipstick has smooth soft texture that glides well on lips. But initially, it tugged a bit which was solved after one-two application. The formula feels quite light on lips and it doesn’t feel patchy or dry at all. It provides a soft matte finish which is perfect for all. It keeps lips smooth and soft. It doesn’t settle in fine lines or won’t highlight dry patches. But, it feels dry after couple of hours. Initially, it feels hydrating but by the end of the day, my lips turn dry. I always have to use a lip balm to get back the hydration. Otherwise, it looks good and the quality is enough at this affordable price. But, the color does transfer and after a few hours, it leaves a stain on lips which lasts good too. It also doesn’t have any smell in it.

Staying power: Now, the lipstick lasts quite well around 5-6 hours and it does survive food. Definitely it does transfer with foods, but it never goes off completely from lips. Still a good color remains on lips. Only, it needs a good remover to clean the stain perfectly.

Overall, it is a gorgeous shade and perfect for holiday parties. Formula, pigmentation and texture are quite good and it lasts well on lips. At this price rate, it is definitely a good product. Only if you have dry lips, you will feel it less hydration and packaging is bit poor too.
