I love liquid lipsticks as they suit perfectly for summers and they also stay put all day long without melting. And, what could be a better brand other than Wet n Wild to pick up some good drugstore stuff? I bought a couple of liquid lip colours from them and here is the review of the shade “Red My Mind”.

My Experience with Wet n Wild Red My Mind MegaLast Liquid Lip Color:
Packaging: The Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Lip Color comes in a sleek cylindrical bottle and I am so glad that the packaging is colour coded. The bottle is a see-through one, so the shade is easily visible from the outside. The wand is perfectly shaped and ensures smooth and very even application. And at $2.99, it is a major steal deal. I don’t know if you can get any other liquid lipstick at this price.
Shade: The shade, “Red my mind” is a gorgeous and classic red color. It is the perfect red shade which is neither cool nor warm. It will suit everyone, so it is a versatile shade. It instantly adds a beautiful pop of color on my lips and perks up my face really well. But yes, it is surely a bit hot-to-handle shade, so this shade will not be everyone’s cup of tea.
Consistency, Finish and Pigmentation: The consistency of this liquid lipstick is super smooth and glides on the lips like a dream. The lip color dries pretty fast, so I need to be really careful while application else it will make my lips look patchy. Also, the finish is creamy for a minute and then, it settles down to an ultra-matte finish. The pigmentation is super amazing, so the shade looks vibrant on the lips.
Staying Power: The staying power is more than 7-8 hours, but when I eat something oily, the color flakes off a bit from the middle making my lips look very patchy. Also, the liquid lipstick forms a layer making it look very heavy on the lips, so I have to remove and then, apply it all over again. I have to use an oil-based makeup remover as it does not come off easily with any other makeup remover.

- The application is a bit patchy.
- Very difficult to remove.
- After a meal, it flakes off unevenly and reapplication is not easy.
- Not available in India.

I am not sure how everyone would like it because the application and removal are not satisfying, but for the price, do try them at the counter!
Conclusion:
Though it cannot be compared to the other liquid lipsticks, for $2.99, it is certainly a steal deal! 🙂
