I love YSL lip products and this Volupte Liquid Balm is not exception either. YSL’s latest launch – Volupte Liquid Color Balm has been everyone’s favorite for months now and I have picked up two shades from this range – Excite Me Pink and and Hook Me Berry. In this post, I would be reviewing “Excite Me Pink.”

My Experience with YSL Volupte Liquid Balm Excite Me Pink:

YSL Volupte liquid color balm comes housed in a silver metal with a pink band containing YSL logo on it. The shade name is mentioned at the bottom of the tube and the applicator is attached to the cap itself. There is a lip cut-out showing the colour through it. The applicator has a soft applicator which holds the perfect amount of product to cover the entire lips in one go and also fit lips nicely.

YSL volupte liquid color balm is a basically YSL tint in oil on steroids. YSL color balm is a creamy lip product which is smooth to apply. YSL color balm feels very lightweight, moisturising and hydrating on the lips. I like to wear it alone as well as using as a lip gloss and it offers one of the best “wet-looking lips” with high shine.

When worn alone, it leaves a beautiful tint and even after it wears off, the tint is still there, which doesn’t make your lips look flat. Though after the color balm wears off, hydration goes away, you need to reapply to get the hydration back.

“Excite Me Pink” is a beautiful deep pink shade which would suit a variety of skin tones. I get around 4 hours of wear time, which is just fine, but I actually don’t mind it since I use it as a gloss more often than just by its own. Like all other YSL lip products, it also has a fruity scent, which fades away after a while after application.
