I am a big sucker for floral fragrance based shower gels. I had picked this shower gel more than two months ago and today’s review will be on Yves Rocher Un Matin Au Jardin Lily of the Valley Shower gel.

My Experience with Yves Rocher Un Matin Au Jardin Lily of the Valley Shower Gel:

The shower gel comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a silver cap. The flip cap is very tight and can easily peel away your nails. I always open the cap, but I have noticed that with opening and closing the flip cap several times, the cap does become a little loose. The shower gel is almost transparent when poured onto hand, but in the bottle, it has a light green tinge. This shower gel, as the name suggests, has a gel consistency and is a bit runny in texture.

The fragrance of the shower gel is amazing and I would pick it up again only for this particular aspect. It smells like lilies and is pretty strong. When using it in my shower, it smells so wonderful that I keep bubbling the product over and over again. There is a body lotion and EDT from the same range and I hope I get my hands on them too soon. I wish Yves Rocher releases a bath bomb in this range as well. The fragrance is a burst of flowers and it stays for around 30 minutes after the shower but fades away completely.

This shower gel lathers fine but works very well with a loofah. The product is also very easy to rinse off. While rinsing off, it leaves a layer behind but it does not feel greasy. The shower gel cleanses the body thoroughly and is very lightweight. The product is enriched with aloe vera and thus makes the skin very soft and smooth instantly.

The product also provides moisture to the skin and hydrates it gently. It doesn’t dry out the skin after a shower, which I feel is a plus. The shower gel doesn’t cause any dryness. I suffer from very dry skin and the product didn’t intensify the dry patches I have had. However, a lotion is a must as the moisturization provided by this product is very less and lasts for 30-45 minutes. The product doesn’t cause any irritation or redness. The shower gel cleanses the product thoroughly and removes dirt and oil. It also eliminates body odor which is a common occurrence in summer. The shower gel is claimed to be made from natural ingredients but it does contain ALS. Overall, I like the shower gel and is a daily use product.
