I realize I have been away, not only from writing but even my comments are over due on so many lovely posts, but I will make upto it soon. Actually when you grow up, responsibilities increase. Similarly with increasing number of experience years in your resume, the workload increases with the speed of rabbit and salary moves with the speed of tortoise!!

Coming to today’s reviews, it’s a lip product this time; a lip gloss from BH Cosmetics in the shade Studious. These lip glosses are available in 15 shades but due to lack of online swatches, selecting a shade sitting online, looking at laptop screen is a gamble on its own. Let’s read on and have a look at the shade Studious.

My Take On BH Cosmetics Lip Gloss – Studious:

Packaging: The packaging is really simple and comes in a square cylindrical tube, transparent and with a black cap housing the lip brush. Yes, the lip gloss actually includes a lip brush sort of thing, instead of a doe-foot applicator. The tube and brush wand both are a bit longer than what we usually see with lip gloss packaging. The tube is sturdy and travel friendly but honestly, I am not happy with the brush. I think the company has just concentrated on trying something new, rather than its practical utility and I would have any day preferred a doe foot applicator over this brush.

Texture and Finish: The texture of lip gloss is thick like a lip cream and spreads easily. It is creamy but slightly sticky on lips, yet totally fragrance free. The finish is lustrous and uneven. The brush provided with the lip gloss makes it more uneven when applied, so you always have to use your own lip brush or a spare doe foot applicator to get a better finish from the lip gloss.

Colour and Pigmentation: The shade lies in the category of deep pinks and bubblegum pinks. Like when you apply the first stroke, it feels neon but by the time you complete the look, it turns out to be a bubblegum pink in natural lights and a deep pink indoors. Pigmentation wise, it’s good and semi-opaque. Infused with bee wax, jojoba and coconut oil, it’s moderately moisturizing on lips.

Longevity and Transferability: Since it has a creamy texture, it transfers and stays on lips for 3-4 hours with regular snack and water intake.

• I find the packaging boring.
• Ingredients not mentioned on packaging.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend BH Cosmetics Lip Gloss – Studious?

I have one more to review from the range and I think, they are enough for me. I am not too confident to recommend them; it’s better to give a skip!

Final Verdict: I think there are much better lip creams and lip glosses available in the market for prices between $7-8. Besides, the shades in the range aren’t too flattering for Asians in my opinion.
