Winters have arrived and my skin has started turning dry. I have the habit of hoarding body washes so this time I decided to not buy a new one and use what I already have. I had bought this Dove body wash some 2-3 months back. Every one of us would have atleast tried one or the other body washes from Dove. They have a huge range to choose from. I had bought this body wash keeping in mind that I would use it during winter.

My take on Dove Supreme Sleek Satin Body Wash :

The body wash comes in the standard Dove bottle. The name of the body wash is written with gold and white color with a light blue background. The cap of the bottle shuts tightly and there is no spillage problem. The bottle is sturdy. As the bottle is too huge it might not be a great advice to carry while travelling. You could choose a smaller version.

The first thing you notice after opening the cap is the smell of body wash. It is a mild sweet smell of lilac and vanilla. The smell captivates you for some time. I wish to have a perfume of the same smell. The smell is not too overpowering. Those with sensitive noses would not find using this body wash a problem. The consistency of this body wash is creamy. It is neither too thick nor thin.

The body wash is of pale blue color. It lathers really well and only a small quantity of body wash is required. Washing it off is a difficult task. It leaves a slippery feeling behind. The feeling does go away after towel drying but it also leaves the washroom a bit slippery. The smell of the body wash faints after 20-30 minutes of bathing. Coming on to its moisturizing property, skin does feel moisturized immediately after bath but you need to apply a body lotion. It doesn’t work on body acne. It doesn’t engrave the problem but neither does it help in curing.

• The smell doesn’t last long.
• Leaves behind a slippery feeling.
• Oily skinned people will find it too moisturizing even in winters.

Would I recommend Dove Supreme Sleek Satin Body Wash?

You could give it a try. It is just a normal body wash. It does live up to its claims but you would find many body washes which deliver the same results. I am still on a look out for a body wash which helps me in dealing with body acne.
