It’s been a long time since my last post which was also my first post. After a month long examination, I am finally back on IMBB. Few months ago, my sweet sis-in-law came down from USA, through her I ordered some ELF cosmetics. I made a list of some never-tried-before products out of which I also asked for these ELF shimmer sheets (just out of curiosity :P) . I have never heard or seen any such product in India so decided to give it a try and yes I do love this product. Read on to know more.

DESCRIPTION(From elf website):- These lightly dusted shimmer sheets create a gorgeous, healthy glow on the apples of the cheeks, décolleté, or anywhere you desire. Perfect for on-the-go shimmer and applying color instantly without the mess and hassle of carrying around a brush. Simply sweep a single Shimmer Sheet over the desired area for an instant dust of beautiful color. 20 sheets included.

Price:– $3 for 20 shimmer sheets.

Ingredients :- Mica, Dimethicone, Dimethiconol, Phenoxyethanol. May Contain: Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Manganese Violet (CI 77742), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Yellow No. 5 Lake (CI 19140), Red No. 40 Lake (CI 16035), Ultramarine Violet (CI 77007), Blue No. 1 Lake (CI 42090)

Shades available:- Currently there are 4 colors i.e. pearl, pink, golden and bronze.

How to Use(From elf website):- Gently remove a single sheet from the envelope. Press the shimmer side of the paper on the apples of your cheeks, décolleté or anywhere else you would like to add a beautiful glow. Use daily as often as desired.

My Experience with ELF Studio Shimmer Sheets in Golden:-

Like I said I brought this product solely out of curiosity. I wasn’t expecting it to be a very great product for the price and when it comes to ELF, it’s quite obvious to think the same. This is a multi-use product which comes in a really neat packaging. It’s thin, light to carry in an envelope form package. The sheets are placed inside this pocket envelope which opens just like a card. All 20 sheets are again packed in a plastic cover to avoid product wastage.

Coming to the sheets, the color is basically a darker gold shade nearing bronze. These sheets are extremely pigmented and highly blend-able. The shimmer is highly reflective too. One touch is all it takes for the shimmer to transfer on your fingers or your brush or anything in contact. Also this particular shade of gold suits my skin tone (fair) very well. Works extremely well for me as a highlighter, eye shadow, body shimmer and a lip shimmer basically anywhere I need that shimmery glow as this works extremely well in highlighting. It also has a very lasting effect as it fades very slowly through the day as the particles stick to your skin. The only problem is that it is very messy to use, as the shimmer transfers easily onto anything that is in contact with it. Care needs to be taken during application while trying not to go overboard with shimmer. Only half the sheet maybe required.

Would I repurchase/recommend? Yes for both, though not the same shade. I have already told my brother to get me the ones in Pink and Pearl.

Conclusion:– This is a great all in one product which can save you some money on buying too many products serving the same purpose. Do give this multi-purpose product a try; I am sure you won’t be disappointed.
