Eyeko Making Eyes Powder Pink Automatic Gel Eyeliner Review

Hola bonitas!

Hope everything is fine on your side! We are recovering from post trip fatigue & anxiety. Luckily, I have brought along lots of mother’s love in the form of her handmade pickle, jam, ghee and snacks which will always remind me of her presence & significance in my life. My hubby was asking me if we really needed these things as you get everything everywhere in today’s world, but we cannot get motherly feel with those store bought items, can we? Anyway, let’s move onto my review today which is my first purchase from the brand Eyeko. I had heard a lot about this Korean ‘Eyeko’ eye products from fellow play-school mums, plus my SIL had asked to get her a decent highlighting as well as wearable eye liner for lower lash line.

And, that’s when this powder pink liner came into my life. So far, I am not used to of wearing white/pink liners for wide open eyes hence I feel hesitant to sport this look outside. However, Eyeko Eyeliner impressed me completely and I am definitely getting more products from this brand in near future. So, let’s get started with Eyeko Making Eyes Powder Pink Automatic Gel Eyeliner.

My Experience with Eyeko Making Eyes Powder Pink Automatic Gel Eyeliner:

The liner comes in a sleek, metallic pink retractable pencil packaging with a safety cap. I so love its cute pencil packaging, plus its sharpener is mess free. It is a win win on every aspect except this particular shade (as of now to me). Talking about my experiences with Eyeko Making Eyes Powder Pink Automatic Gel Eyeliner, actually this liner belongs to my SIL and I took an opportunity to try it on my eyes, luckily.

I can see that this shade is not wearable for many of us, but the product is quite versatile as we can wear it as a highlighter on our brow bone, especially with this icy pink shade while darker shades like brown/blue/black make perfect eye shadow shades, apart from lining and defining eyes.

Pink powder seem icy, whitish pink shade which will definitely work as an eye opener when worn on lower lash line, but somehow don’t know why I look like a zombie whenever I wear it on my eyes. 😛 I had seen many girls wearing this shade or similar on their lower lash line to imitate wide open eyes and that’s how I was inspired to try same, but I need more time to get comfortable with it.

Leaving the shade aside, the texture of eye liner is really awesome. It seems powdery matte in finish, but it literally glides effortlessly on my eyes and settles into a stubborn stain which hardly smudges when worn on brow bone or upper lash line. The store SA advised me to use it as eye shadow base for popping out all dark shades and I see that my SIL also loves it as an eye shadow base for rich colorful make up.

As far as I have observed, this gel eye liner is a blessing for oily eye lids that don’t use a primer. I can imagine how intensely pigmented, non-smudging and long lasting finish I would get with its black shade when I notice almost 6+ hours of lasting power with this one on my oily eye lids. Even it stays put for good 6-8 hours on my water line with no irritation or transferring onto my under eye area. It is a completely water proof eye liner which certainly needs a good eye makeup remover at the end of day as it won’t budge even a little with vigorous rubbing. Amazing, isn’t it? Other than this pink shade (for me), there is nothing I would regret for this purchase and very soon I am going to get its black & brown shades too.

Pros of Eyeko Making Eyes Powder Pink Automatic Gel Eyeliner:

• It is very gentle and safe for eye lens wearers, apart from being waterline safe.
• It glides effortlessly on water line as well as upper/lower eye lids with no tugging pulling at all.
• It transfers onto tougher stain within seconds of application, hence no smudging or staining our face or under eye area.
• No mess of sharpening or wastage of product as the tip stays pointed all the time even after multiple usage.
• The shade and texture of the eye pencil is amazingly versatile as we can use it as an eye shadow base, as an highlighter or even use it on the water line for broad eye effect.
• Staying power is quite good, i.e. 5+ hours on oily eye lids as well as waterline.

Cons of Eyeko Making Eyes Powder Pink Automatic Gel Eyeliner:

• Icy pink shade might not be everyone’s cup of tea; well, it’s not mine, at least.
• Mere 6 months of shelf life.
• Presence of Mica in ingredient list might be bothering.
• We need eye makeup remover to get rid of every single trace of this liner.

IMBB Rating:
4.1/5!

Verdict:
Honestly, I won’t mind these cons other than the shade and its shelf life as this shade will hardly get my attention within 6 months unlike black/brown other shades. I am definitely picking its brown and black shades soon and I am sure you all will also love the way they look on eyes and its staying power apart from its gentle and soothing nature. I won’t recommend to try this Pink Powder shade unless you are completely into it. But, do give this range a try as it’s amazing!
