Chambor Powder Matte Lipstick: Pink Devil
I know I have been badly smitten by these pigmented, soft, creamy matte lipsticks which I started collecting very late. Honestly, I have been smitten by these from the time I saw the swatches on IMBB long ago. Since then, I have been making notes of what shades I want, but somehow never stopped by at the Chambor counter.
Now, having warmed up to Chambor a lot more, I have been buying these beauties, trying to fall in love with their velvety soft eyeshadows with a flimsy packing, like many of you complained on my review of “Glowing Earth,” but can’t help but love them!
These powder matte lipsticks are one-stop shop for matte lovers, I will tell you why. These have such a good range of shades from every color family that I am amazed how they can cater to red, orange, pink, mauve, coral and brown lovers at the same time. I fantasize having just this range in its entirety and wearing a matching shade each day from this and never have to move to any other non-matte lipstick.
I think matte lips are a classic and we can’t ever rule those out. As for these lipsticks, these are legendary as they have been around for a long time, have gone through a price hike of 50 rupees and still loved so much that even non-matte lovers want to give it a try!
Swatches:
This particular pink is a very blue-based pink, it’s a mauvey pink, not the soft girly pink we always have in our kit. The shade is very close to the “Rose Fantasie” shade I reviewed and I think I chose this one over the “Rose Fantasie” one as the rose one is lighter and a little pinker. This one is a mauve version of that and a little perkier too and lifts up the face more than that one. Rose Fantasie is pinker and this one goes on to be mauve.
The texture like you all know is thick, creamy, pigmented, soft, velvety, petal soft and thick. Now, I seriously suggest wearing just one coat of this as two coats can make your lips feel dry, uneasy, cakey and look as if your lips have cracked. One coat is so thick and pigmented that the most pigmented lips will be covered with it.
The lasting power is a minimum of three hours and fades away softly and evenly.
I love to use this for any pink and go with a pink blush and soft eyes. This can look very sophisticated for office too. I think it may not look that well on yellow-toned skin.
This does not dry out the lips at all in one coat but two coats can be very cakey. Go easy on the amount you use because as such you have more than 4 grams in there 😛
Last Word:
This range is a matte lover’s paradise. The shade is very pretty mauvey pink, soft, pigmented, creamy and long lasting; everything I need from a lipstick costing 450 rupees!

OMG Neha diiii.. You ve gotta stop. 😛 You know i went to a nearby nice city yesterday and looked at all the Chambor counters but stupid people did not have that colour Dessert rose. I was so angry and those ladies did not even understand what i wanted :-/

Oh, I got Rose Fantasie after seeing your review, now I am really going to get this one as it’s more pink/mauve and I like it a lot. Too much temptation! (I also got the Orange Flambe, but it looks a bit dark orange/rust on me). Any reccos for a nice orange lippy? I have MAC Morange but its really neonish!
