Faces Mauve It! Glam On Color Perfect Lipstick Review

By now all of you might have come to know about my favourite lip colour range – the Faces Glam On Color Perfect lipsticks. I have already reviewed some 5-6 shades and now I am winding up my collection. The colour for the day is ‘Mauve It!’ for all the mature ladies who have a pure, soft corner for mauves; here we go!

My Experience with Faces Mauve It! Glam On Color Perfect Lipstick:

Faces Glam On range is very nicely innovated as far as the packaging is concerned. They look extremely classy in transparent packaging with black and gold inside. It is very handy and super convenient to use. I picked up a lot of shades from this range and noticed that most of the shades are intensely pigmented, and the colours are mostly on the bolder side. The shades range from the corals to pinks (which the younger generation can wear), and also consists of mature shades like browns and purples.

This shade is a deep mauve colour with berry hints which is very close to the shade “Truly Berry” from the same range. The main thing that makes these colours little different is the darkness and pinkness. Truly Berry has more of pink undertones while this one is a tad darker, and has little black hints to it which makes it the perfect mauve. It creates a pop on my lips and turns them to stunning mauve lips in just one swipe. The pigmentation is commendable and I think they are some very good lipsticks to invest in. However, I find this shade a little darker for fair skin tone because it makes the complexion look a little darker due to the black hints. But I think it is one of the best mauve shades for medium to dusky skin tones as it totally complements the Indian skin tones.

Adding to it, I don’t think this shade is pretty much suitable for the younger generations. Hence the mature ladies and the office goers can totally rock this shade! The colour looks very elegant and sophisticated. The texture is buttery soft and glides on super easily on the lips. Due to intense pigmentation, it settles a little into the fine lines and that can be noted when you remove the lip colour with the makeup remover. The colour looked glossy at first, but then settles into a matte finish with a little glossy sheen. It stays on my lips for more than 5 hours which is fair enough. I am totally impressed with the pigmentation and the staying power of this range.

It also survives light meals but the colour would lose a lot of pigmentation if you have a full meal. Even after 5-6 hours when it fades off, it leaves a strong mauve stain on the lips which does not let the lips look bare and pale. The pigmentation along with pros always has certain cons – it transfers a lot on cups, and also your fingers if you tend to touch your lips. Also it might bleed a little from the corners of the lips, so I have to keep prepping it up. But these cons can be accepted because the finish, the quality, the staying power and the shade everything is just so amazing. A very good shade to splurge on if you are a mauve shade lover!

• The texture is buttery soft and glides very smoothly on the lips
• The finish is super creamy and the pigmentation is more than intense
• It gives a pop of the perfect mauve colour in just one swipe
• It is a deep mauve colour with little black hints that make it a little different from the Truly Berry from the same range
• The shade is a bold one and will complement medium to dusky skin tones very well
• The shade settles to a matte finish and stays on my lips for more than 5 hours in total, with meals, mild snacking and drinks

Cons of Faces Mauve It! Glam On Color Perfect Lipstick:

• It bleeds a little from the corner of the lips
• Transfers a lot on glasses
• This shade is not suitable for younger generations
• Will look a tad darker on fair skin

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Faces Mauve It! Glam On Color Perfect Lipstick?
Mom loves it, and she is going to use this shade further because I have my own set of lipsticks that I love. This is probably not the kind of shade I would like to carry, but it is great for mommies and mature generation, and also great for workplaces.

Faces Glam On range is one of the newest ranges and it is just awesome. I tried a few lipsticks from this range and they are just wonderful. If you want to splurge on some new lipstick, this range is a must-try.
