Hello all,
Today, I’ll be reviewing a lipstick that I initially thought was an eyeshadow. Looking at the colour, it’s hard to guess whether it’s an eyeshadow crayon or a lipstick. I did make a “makeup goof up,” but that’s fine, I’ll use it as an eye product instead! Let’s get started with the review!

My Experience with Jordana 14 Chocolate Cream Lipstick:
Packaging: This pencil comes in a chubby wooden pencil form. It’s color coded and can be easily located in a stash. The cap is transparent and fits a tad bit loose. Hence this pencil cannot be thrown into a bag just like that. Since you have to sharpen up the pencil, there’s a lot of product wastage.
Color: I like how these pencils are named; “Chocolate Cream” is a gorgeous brown with a hint of gold. It looks like a metallic shade, like those foil eye shadows. It is quite similar to the shade “Autumn Leaves,” but is a tad bit different. This one has a little more gold to it and less brown in comparison. I would rather and obviously use this as a kajal rather than placing it on my lips, but this pencil can go as a good base eyeshadow too. It is highly pigmented and one stroke is enough for the colour to show up.
Texture: I really did not think that this pencil would have such a smooth and creamy texture. While that is a big plus for me, the flip side is that since it is very creamy, it tends to crease a lot and also smudge a lot. On my lips though, it feels very dry. I have to apply some lip balm because it makes my lips parched. I really enjoy this on my waterline because it doesn’t smudge that bad as when used as a base or as an eyeshadow itself. You just have to set it with a matching eye shadow so that it won’t move on your lids. It might be a good option for dry lids, but oily lids should just stay away or set it quickly.
Staying Power: As a kajal, it stays for slightly longer than when used as a lipstick. The staying power when used as a kajal is about 5-6 hours with smudging and as a lipstick is about 4 hours but with a lot of fading.
Summing up the pros and cons:
Pros of Jordana 14 Chocolate Cream Lipstick:
- Beautiful shade.
- Reasonably priced.
- Super smooth and creamy.
- Very pigmented.
- Color-coded packaging.
- Decent staying power when used as a kajal.
- Can be used as an eyeshadow too.
Cons of Jordana 14 Chocolate Cream Lipstick:
- Smudges easily.
- Average staying power.
- Cannot be used as a lipstick.
- Not easily available.
IMBB Rating:
3/5
Final Verdict: I love the shade, but definitely for my eyes only. On the lips, it looks horrible!
