Jovees Anti Blemish Pigmentation Cream Review

Helloooooo to the pretty IMBBians!!!

Weather up here in the north has again taken a sharp U turn. I just can’t believe that just two days back, we had such a bright sun-lit day, when we did not even need sweaters. Just when I had started to pack my woolens, we had a heavy shower, then another, and now I am in my heavy pullovers again. Sigh! So much for my weather update :D.  Let us come to today’s product, which is a skin care product – Jovees Ayurveda Anti Blemish Pigmentation Cream. I have had a problem of dark spots around my nose and cheeks area, which I had wanted to get rid off, but could not find any product specifically meant for dark spots, everything was fairness oriented or anti ageing. Finally, I came across this one, and ordered it along with Jovees Water Resistant Sunscreen.  I have been using it for the past 12 days. Let’s see how does it fared on me.

Product/Packaging/Description/Ingredients:

The Jovees anti blemish pigmentation cream comes in an outer cardboard packaging. When you open it, the actual product is in a tube container with a flip cap. It is travel friendly, and compact enough to be carried in your bag without any fear of any kind of leakage.  The product comes in a 60 gm tube, at a price of Rs. 225, with a shelf life of 3 years. So, pretty affordable.  The ingredients are totally herbal, and that was what attracted me to this product in the first place. You see, I am always on lookout for herbal products which are sans chemicals and fairness claims. Although I am not always successful, but once in a while, I do get my hands on such products, like this cream :P Take a look at the pictures below to get an idea about the outer appearance and description, and ingredients of this particular cream.

My Experience with Jovees Anti Blemish Pigmentation Cream:

I use this cream as a night cream. The reason being that when I checked their official website, they had mentioned its use as a night cream.  The first thing you notice when you open the cap is the smell, I just love it. It’s just that kind of smell, which reminds you of your days at your grandparent’s home. The smell is not at all chemical, instead, it is a very nice herbal smell.  Can you believe I am still sniffing my hand where I swatched it for you guys :P

The texture of the cream is light, and not heavy like most other creams meant for treatment purpose. You just have to take out the required amount, massage it a bit, and it’s gone!! It leaves behind a very soft and velvety feel. When you touch your face, you will know it. Also, when I wake up in the morning, my face is still soft, and a glow is there. Normally, when I get up in the morning, my face is an oil tank, it still is, but to a lesser extent. So, I can say, that if oily skinned beauties want to use this as a day cream, then they can go ahead as it controls oil to an extent. The only thing is the lack of spf, which makes the use of sun block necessary in day time.

Coming to its claims, in these 12 days, although it has not made any dramatic changes to my skin, but it has managed to make my face clearer and radiant. The dark spots, however, are the same, just a little bit lightening *headbang*, although I feel that with prolonged use, it will clear my skin, by the time I finish the tube, which may be around 2 to 3 months, as a night cream. As a day cream? It will last half the time. It has managed to remove my pimple marks though *happydance*

Summing up the pros and cons:

Pros of Jovees Anti Blemish Pigmentation Cream:

  • The texture is light.
  • Good for oily skin.
  • Leaves skin soft and velvety.
  • Smells heavenly.
  • Removes pimple marks and lightens blemishes.
  • Clears up face.
  • Affordable.
  • Easily available.

Cons of Jovees Anti Blemish Pigmentation Cream:

  • No SPF, hence usage as a day cream might be a problem to some, sun block required.
  • Has to be used for a reasonable period to show full results.

IMBB Rating:

I rate the Jovees anti blemish pigmentation cream 4.5/5 :D  A complete ayurvedic product, which does not boast of fairness, but clears skin and evens it out (and the smell!!! I love it :D )  Of course, I recommend :))

Pigmentation actually means disbalance of melanin which leads to different shades of colour on your face…although i do not have that problem..thank god!! but i do have dark spots a few places on my face…since i cud not find any product specifically for it i went for this product..and it works fine on blemishes n spots…though takes time :) :)
