Kerastase Noctogenist Voile Nuit for Fine Hair

Hello ladies! You might have heard about the Kerastase range of hair products. It’s a very popular salon brand, and is globally accepted as one of the top-brands for hair-care. I bought this hair serum from EBay more than year ago (much before getting introduced to the world of IMBB!). I wanted a miraculous product, something that would instantly transform my limp, dry hair into gorgeous, shiny and soft tresses. I read a lot of great reviews about it on Amazon, and immediately ordered this☺. Did it turn out to be as great as promised? Read on!

My experience with Kerastase Noctogenist Voile Nuit

Kerastase Noctogenist Voile Nuit Review_pic3

Let me start by saying that this is my HG product for last-minute damage-control! How many times have you woken up with frizzy, dry and unmanageable hair and realized that you have an important function/event to attend to? This product comes to rescue during those times! ☺ I spray this onto the lengths of my hair, and gently comb through with a big-toothed comb and then go to sleep. I wake up with shiny, frizz-free and soft hair! And this effect lasts for at least 2 days, after which you are back to square one! This will not work as a styling serum, since it’s an overnight leave-in type hair treatment. So if you want your hair to look gorgeous on a particular day, make sure you use this on the previous night. It doesn’t need to be washed off. I usually spray it onto my palms and I apply it on my hair by running my fingers through the hair lengths. I do this because, sometimes, I tend to spray a lot of product, which in turn, weighs down my hair. I have tried using it during the daytime too, as a leave-in conditioner, but somehow it didn’t work as well as it did overnight. It has a watery consistency and is milky white in color. One very important feature about this serum is its smell! It has a very strong cologne-type smell! It’s quite overpowering and some may find it irritating. Although, after applying it on the hair, the smell fades away and you are left with mildly-fragrant and gorgeous hair the next day ☺

The packaging is sturdy and very classy and I love the Russian navy color of the bottle! It is quite expensive and although I would love my hair to looks great every day, I can’t afford to use this every night! Hence, I use this only when I have an important function or party the next day. You must use this only when your hair is shampooed and clean, because it won’t work on oily hair.
I tried enquiring about this product at various salons, but I got the same reply everywhere- it was out of stock and they were not expecting another shipment of it ☹ According to their website, they have discontinued this particular version and released a creamy version of the serum. Right now, it is available only on sites like EBay (Global Easy buy) and Amazon. Let us move onto the pros and cons!

Pros of Kerastase Noctogenist Voile Nuit

Does what it claims. Transforms dull, limp hair into frizz-free, shiny and soft hair in just one application!
Non-greasy and very little product is required.
Exclusively meant for fine hair. A thick hair version of the serum is also available.
Effect and fragrance lasts for 2 days (if the hair is not washed).

Cons of Kerastase Noctogenist Voile Nuit

Expensive.
Not available in India.
No long-lasting benefits.
Loaded with chemicals.

IMBB Rating: – 4/5 (Deducted a point because the effects are not long-lasting)
Would I recommend and repurchase it? Yes! I still haven’t finished it yet, but I would definitely buy it again, once it finishes ☺ After all, it is my HG product isn’t it? ☺

cost is big turn off..i won’t go for this … as continuity and regular usage not at all effective. I usually wash my hair 2nd or 3rd day…
