Well, this hair loss has given me enough headache and enough opportunities to try new products. While I started using the Kerastase Specifique Bain Stimuliste GL Shampoo, on my second bottle, my hairstylist coaxed me into buying the Stimuliste Spray. Hoping this would bring about some major breakthrough in my hair growth project, I gave it a shot ;). So, here goes my review on the same:

Packaging:

It is nice spray which is very convenient to use. The pump ensures the application can be made to localised areas and comes out in small amount which helps reducing wastage. Overall, a very “easy to use” packaging.

Product Description:

• Benefits : Supports the exchange and absorbtion of nutrients (Vitamine PP).
  Adds constitutive matter to the hair (Arginine)
• Stimulates hair production (GL).
• Improves hair density.

How To Use:

Stimuliste has to be applied daily on dry or towel-dried hair. Spray on the roots, massage. Do not rinse. Style as usual.

Application suggestion for optimised results:

A 3-step technique combined with a massage to optimise penetration of active ingredients and stimulate scalp’s micro-circulation:

Step 1: Stimulate scalp with circular movements.
Step 2: Spray on the roots.
Step 3: Practice massage into the scalp to diffuse the formula.
Technology :An anti-hairloss concentrated cocktail to stimulate hair growth all along the hair production:

Rs. 3500 for 125 ml.

My Experience with Kerastase Specifique Stimuliste Spray:

I know a few people who undergo a series of sittings for the Kerastase treatment at high-end salons. They use Kerastase Specifique Bain Stimuliste Shampoo, Densitive GL, Stimuliste Spray followed by Aminexil Force R. That comes out to cost you a fortune and those friends of mine believe it is less of a hassle than buying these and making sure one follows the regimen effectively. If used regularly, it is bound to show results. I have used it on and off for the last three months and have not seen any significant difference. I only use the shampoo from the range regularly and honestly, I have not been very regular with the spray except for the first month.

The claims to reinforce the hair fiber from the root to tip which in turn makes the hair look denser. I haven’t seen an immediate effect but they say it gives best results if used with Aminexil GL.  Ideally, one must use it after every wash and massage it on to the scalp lightly until it’s absorbed.  Worrying too much about hair loss kind of worsens the situation, but at least, using these products makes me feel I’m doing whatever possible to better the hair condition (looking at the brighter side of things;). Significant results are yet to be seen, but at least they make me feel better about my hair currently.

Pros of Kerastase Specifique Stimuliste Spray:

• No burning sensation post application.
• Gets easily absorbed into the scalp.
• The spray is very easy to use.
• Packaging and the pump ensures minimum wastage.
• A little goes a long way.
• Unlike other volumizing products, this is supposed to be applied to the scalp and hence works its way through to the roots.

Cons of Kerastase Specifique Stimuliste Spray:

• Scalp gets oily after usage. My shampooed hair does not last more than a day and a half when I use this product.
• Very expensive.
• Cannot see any hair growth which can be attributed solely to usage of this product.
• Makes your scalp itch a little after some time of your application.

Would I Repurchase Kerastase Specifique Stimuliste Spray?

I might purchase once more and see if it turns out to be effective in the long run. Nevertheless, way too expensive for regular use.
